"The year SNL debuted" sez Renee. Will we hear "Dy-no-Mite"?
-
TOTHK - Wings "Venus And Mars / Rock Show"
ETA: A deeper cut from the Venus And Mars album would have been nice (or even the single "Letting Go").

At the halfway point: 2 BOS, 2 LNs, and 1 VHM, according to RGMike - how will it turn out?
-
C&N "To The Last Whale... (Critical Mass/Wind On The Water)"
ETA: Renee's picking the long songs today ;)
-

of course, I'm incredibly picky ;)
"Last Whale" was a longtime Moreytrina, but I'll give it a pass today.
-
CSN "To The Last Whale/Critical Mass"
Not listening, in class. Shouldn't it be Crosby/Nash?
-
CSN "To The Last Whale/Critical Mass"
Isn't this just CN?

Yeppers 8)
Nice tune, and the little Baroque vocal start is cute, but I found myself just waiting it out.

Yup, it's just C&N -- just cut and pasted the KFOG's TuneGenie listing.
-
Pink Floyd "Wish You Were Here"
-
Snoozy Floyd. Wish I wasn't here.

I love this one. Especially the two geetar beginning.
I always liked the lo-fi into hi-fi transition.

Me too, and I agree it's very crankable. A great album overall.

Yes! It's brilliant.

Kool-Aid commercial into EWF "Shining Star"
-
uber-LN3 EWF. Guess a pop/soul rarity was too much to ask for today.

Ah yes, but you just asked for another R&B tune. Careful what you ask for!
-
ELO "Fire On High"
-
VHM ELO, tho' it's hardly a rarity either.
-
VHM ELO, tho' it's hardly a rarity either.
Somebody's gotta give Manfred Mann a run for his money in the overblown bombast department.
-
VHM ELO, tho' it's hardly a rarity either.
Still a great song... overplayed though it may be. BOS
-
Gary Wright "Dream Weaver"
-
Oy: LN4 "Dreamweaver" in its year-of-release rather than year-of-popularity.
-

The theme for CBS Sports Spectacular for awhile. An ABC Wide World of Sports clip into this song would be a fun segue. Maybe it's been done before?
-
Bad Sneakers is the closest we've gotten to a rarity today (or maybe the Manfred Mann); otherwise it's been a very Moreyesque set.
-
Renee: BOS EWF; VHM Gary Wright
-

2. Spirits in the Night-Manfred Mann
(Movie: Jaws)
3. You Sexy Thing-Hot Chocolate
4. Bad Sneakers-Steely Dan
5. Boogie With Stu-Led Zeppelin
6. To the Last Whale/Wind on the Water-Crosby&Nash
7. Wish You Were Here-Pink Floyd

Yes! It's brilliant.
Agree with everyone but Mike.
I also like how it sounds lyrically (as opposed to the lyric content, to which I rarely pay much attention). The internal rhymes and slant rhymes really work for me.
BOS for me.

Bustout, yes. What I find even more surprising is that The Bruce's version has only appeared
once. I thought I've heard it more often than that, but apparently it's been outside of 10@10.

Bad Sneakers has made regular appearences throughout the DM era -- about once a year -- as
well as February 20th of this year.
