not a clue to be had, and I've listened most of the morning.
oy: 2002. Elvis vs. DJ what's his-name.
-
2002! TOTHK - Elvis Presley vs JXL "A Little Less Conversation"
-
BOS1 Elvis, JXL, and whoever else.
-
Billboard's Top 100 singles of 2002:

OMFG! Nelly, "Hot in Herre" BOS for a ballsy choice.
-
BOS2 Nelly. Definitely not a DC set.
-
The Daily Show into Nelly "Hot In Herre"
OMFG, indeed!
-
This is Renee's chance to shine.
-
The GS Community is pissing me off so far.... 2002 Boo hoo.... not even considering it's gotten off to a good start.
-
The Bourne Identity into Sheryl Crow "Steve McQueen"
-
BOS3 Sheryl Crow
-
Chuck Prophet "Summertime Thing"
If Renee went with a summer time theme, she could have played Sheryl Crow's "Soak Up The Sun" instead of "Steve McQueen"...
-
It a summahtime thang, yo. Def a KFOG staple in 2002.
ETA: 2nd "take off your clothes" lyric of set!
-
HM Chuck Prophet, although I far preferred "Eloise".
-
If we go to 2002 more, this Chuck Prophet song is probably going to be an LN. It kind of already is due to appearing in most summer sets. But this set is quite listenable so far.
I was saying about a recent 90s set, that the worst thing that can happen to 90s/2000s sets is that they sound like a 2013 Alice sample hour. This certainly isn't the case with this one, so far.
-
Bruce Springsteen "The Rising"
-
BOS4 Springsteen.
-
Ha! Some Brooooce for all the 'snipes who already bailed. BOS2 "The Rising"
-
Since this is Renee's first visit to 2002, everything sounds fresh. She can't possibly mess this up. ;)

Completely concur.

I expect a Rolling Stones track as well. Did the Stones release anything in '02?
Ah, yes, Forty Licks. The track would be "Don't Stop", if that's the case!
-
The inevitable Coldplay "In My Place"
ETA: Will there be some DMB and Jack Johnson as well?
-
Ha! Some Brooooce for all the 'snipes who already bailed. BOS2 "The Rising"
I'm kinda tired of Bruce, but I still find this somewhat inspiring, given the context and all.
-
"In My Place".... ok, although I vastly prefer "Clocks" and "God Put A Smile Upon Your Face".
-
WOS Coldblorf.

yep, that and Pearl Jam's "I Am Mine" would completely placate the fankids at Gsnipes, if they all hung around.
-
The inevitable Coldplay "In My Place"
time to turn down the audio
-
WOS Coldplay.
-
RHCP "The Zephyr Song"
-
what a way to finally smell her: WOS2 RHCPs.

I guess I just find this more inconsequential than blorfy.

-
BOS3 The Simpsons at RnR fantasy camp. "STDs! STDs!"
-
The Simpsons at rock & roll fantasy camp into Wilco "Heavy Metal Drummer"
-
BOS4 Wilco.
-
P!nk "Get The Party Started"
-
Woo hoo! BOS5 Pink -- AL played this one too (at my request) but it's always welcome. It's a new era, kids!
-
I'll concur with the BOS for Pink.
-

-
WOS Pink

I'll concur with the BOS for Pink.
BOS for me as well.
I have to assume the orig lyric was "I'm coming OUT..." but Pink's handlers advised a change to "...UP..."
-
WOS Pink
I'm shocked!

LMAO. I just don't love Pink. :P Most of her 'fun' songs don't really click with me, although she's usually not bad when she tries to be serious (the exception being "Dear Mr. President" - I think she needs to leave stuff like that to the Indigo Girls.)
-
Renee: 2-way tie for BOS between Nelly and Moby; VHM to P!nk and Chuck Prophet
-
Definitely did not suck. Renee is finally getting the hang of things. Only took her 10 months. And losing that albatross DC.
