have not heard a promo today. Could be '70s; could be '90s.
so of course, it's neither: 1989 Lou Reed to lead -- if it's Reed, it leads!
Maybe we'll finally get Was/Not Was or Roachford today?
Nah.

TOTHK - Lou Reed "Dirty Boulevard" - 1989
Back to back '80s sets -- random wheel indeed

Nah.
If my '89 set inspired today's set, I'll be floored.

TOTHK - Lou Reed "Dirty Boulevard" - 1989
ooo! uncensored!! which doesn't, er, suck.
-
Pixies "Debaser"
-
Speaking of 1989, we heard Neneh Cherry "Buffalo Stance" at the craft beer bar in Puerto Vallarta last week.
-
Pixies "Debaser"
a rarity if not a bustout -- AL played this once, no?
I'm a Master Debaser myself
-
No results from a quick search, though we got "Here Comes Your Man" plenty.
-
Saved By the Bell theme. Heh.
-
Saved By The Bell into XTC "King For A Day"
-
LN1: XTC "King For a Day".
-
Rickie Lee Jones "Satellites"
-
RLJ, "Satellites" -- another rarity. VHM.
-
The Alarm "Sold Me Down The River"
-
the Alarm sells us down the rivah. LN2.
-
Roy Orbison "You Got It"
Wish Renee would have chosen a deeper cut from Mystery Girl...
ETA: JINX!
-
The Big O is kinda LN-y too -- certainly something else from this terrific LP besides "You Got It" woulda made my day -- but BOS anyway.
-
Aerosmith "Janie's Got A Gun"
-
Aerosmith with that creepy video -- "Janie Got a Gun". Given its ubiquity in '89 I guess it's kinda necessary.
-
Will there be any R&B or dance representation in today's set...?
ETA: Nope I was wrong -- Renee waited to song #10! :o
-
Bud Light's Spuds MacKenzie into The Stones Roses "I Wanna Be Adored"
-
VHM Spuds.

-
Stone Roses "I Wanna Be Abhorred": rejoicing in snipeland, I guess.
-
The Cult "Edie (Ciao Baby)"
-

Yes, we're doing our O face to I Wanna Be A Door... :)
-
VHM the Cult. This hasn't been terrible or anything, but some pop fluff would really help right about now.
-
Oliver North into Milli Vanilli "Blame It On The Rain"! O-M-F-G!!!
-
damn, this Ollie North clip is looong.
I was half-expecting "Fascination Street" since Gory played it at 6am.
OMFG: Cap'n Jack TANC -- Milli Vanilli gets BOS2FRA. ROTFL -- someone at KFOG is definitely lurking here.

If Renee mentions this forum, I'll definitely be floored! ;D

RGMike's wish came true!
nice. I used to see these two dudes walking around NYC w hair like Milli Vanilli ... corn-rowed, beaded. They dressed like Twins and seemed to be a pretty close, amorous couple. Oooh girl!
-
Will Milli Vanilli get BOS?
ETA: On the KFOG TuneGenie playlist, Milli Vanilli's track is listed as "You're The Devil In Disguise" :D
-
We can't believe you did it either, Renee. But the new tradition of playing a slice of pop cheeze in nearly every set continues.
-
Renee: 3-way tie for BOS - Orbison, Stone Roses, and... Milli Vanilli! :D

people do love their cheeze -- something DC did not understand, I don't think.

so far this week we have "Material Girl" and "Blame It On The Rain". If we get 1999 tomorrow perhaps RR will play "Blue (Da Ba Bee)". God I hope so.

Does USA for Africa "We are the World" count?

well, it does but generally my impression was that DC was on AL's case not to overdo that stuff, and of course once she left it more or less disappeared. Here's hoping the current infatuation with such stuff comtinues.

This was used by one team last weekend during their routine.
