I was lucky enough to see the orig lineup in 1982, and after James Honeyman-Scott and Pete Farndon exited the scene (and the Earth), I lost some interest in the band. My mondegreen for this one: "Tiny Avenger"

Dwight Twilley and his girls.
With a name like that, he should really be a country singer.
Is that Tom Petty helping out on vocals there?
-
Carl Lewis wins race into Slade "Run Runaway"
NTM, but not so good.
You think Big Country was listening to Slade?
other way around, in this case. But hey, it finally got Slade on US Top 40 radio.
-
VHM JJ, "YCGWYW(TYKWYW)", tho' a bit LN, OK?

Anything from TT besides "What's Love...?" woulda been an uber-BOS.

Thompson Twins "Doctor! Doctor!"
Hmmm... that wasn't the usual album mix. It might have been from the 1988 greatest hits
release that had different remixes.
-

Released in 1984, but yes, prior to RR, played only in 1985 sets.
-

Miami Vice debuted in the fall of 1984, and Smuggler's Blues was released in June, so
these seem completely appropriate for that year.

I believe you're correct about this.... it's in my collection. IMHO, TT lend themselves to GHC.
