"Pet Rocks & Mood rings" sez RR.
2nd '90s-less week in a row.
'75 was one of DC's most "Oldies 103.7"-centric years ("Killer Queen", anyone?) so if we manage to avoid "Sweet Emotion" and "Ballroom Blitz" we might do OK.
-
It's 10:00 but we must suffer thru "Sex & Candy" first. Feh.
-
BOS1 and a fine TOTHK: Beck, "Freeway Jam". Proxy of Lightnin' Rod.
-
TOTHK - Jeff Beck "Freeway Jam"
-
Woah... great TOTHK with Jeff Beck (produced by George Martin). Smokin' !!!!

Good call!
-
Holee crap! "Jungleland" makes an appearance. Much celebrating in snipe-land, no doubt. BOS2.
-
Bruce Springsteen "Jungleland"
-
and song 3 begins at 10:18 (!). and it's "White Punks on Dope"! holee crap2! and BOS3.
-
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest into The Tubes "White Punks On Dope"
-
WPOD!
All good so far -- BOS 1 through 3.
-
BOS4 Zep. This is amazing so far. Percy by the seaside in a speedo -- the mind reels.
-
Led Zeppelin "Down By The Seaside"
10:30 and we're only at song #4!
-
Led Zeppelin "Down By The Seaside"
My actual vote for BOS! Rock on, Renee!
-
I will have to listen tonight. BOS of tough competition so far to Led Zep.
-

Keep up at this rate and this set could go to 11 -- or later. ;)
-
Doobs cover Kim Weston. VHM. I was just thinking of this one this morning for some reason. Renee and me, psychically linked : now THAT'S scary.
-
The Doobie Brothers "Take Me In Your Arms"
-
The Bruce and Zep tunes are both relative rarities -- Jungleland shows up twice in the Shraytabase and Down By the Seaside just once. .
Meanwhile the Doobies tune has several.
-
Corinthian leather always gets a VHM, Ricardo.
Yet another (lengthy) Morey fave: Ambrosia. Nice. Very nice. BOS5.
-
Commercials medley into Ambrosia "Nice, Nice, Very Nice"

This is their song that draws inspiration from Vonnegut, no?
BOS3? 4? Losing track.

Yup. the title is a Cat's Cradle reference.
This is the 2nd time this year (at least) that Renee has played "3rd-Rate Romance". But I'm not complaining. BOS6.

Me either. For a song that comes off as kind of trashy on its face, it's pretty complex in the way the rhymes are constructed.
-
Paul Simon "50 Ways To Leave You Lover"
-
Slip out the back, Jack. Take the bone, Joan. VHM Mr Simon.
-
Great set all around... nice and loooooooooooong too!!
-
The Who "Squeeze Box"
-
Squeeze on the box, Fox. Coulda done w/out this one, but overall this has been quite strong.
-
And to show that not everyone can be pleased, DW and CW are saying this set isn't 1975.
-
BOS7 the Dan of Steel.
I'm not fond of the overuse of the word "epic" but this set surely was.
-
Economic crisis news into Steely Dan "Black Friday"

it is if you were actually there and listening to FM radio. DW is high (as usual).
