I'm guessing it's a '70s or maybe even '60s day. Which means we'll probably get 2002.
ETA: oh right, it's a rerun today. And then "our very own Dean" (who??) will be filling in for Renee from 11 to 3.
ETA2: it's 1988, with U2 and a "Desire"able TOTHLN.

This "classic" dates back to October 2nd -- Renee's 2nd 10@10.

Oy: Escape Club. I still hear "Sheriff's on the airwaves" as "Cher is on the airwaves".
-
**SPOILER ALERT**
1. U2 - Desire
2. Escape Club - Wild Wild West
(Movie: Who Framed Roger Rabbit? - I'm just drawn that way.)
3. George Harrision - Got My Mind Set On You
4. Siouxsie and the Banshees - The Killing Jar
(News: Dukakis slam ad; Bush slam ad ... Ah politics)
5. REM - Stand
6. Cheap Trick - The Flame
(Commercial - My dogs love Pedigree)
7. Pet Shop Boys - Always On My Mind
8. Tracy Chapman - Fast Car
9. Robert Cray - Don't Be Afraid Of the Dark
10. Steve Winwood - Roll With It
I'll stick around thru the PSBs -- see yesterday's thread for my Tracy Chapman stance ;)

oh, and WOS Cheap Trick. For years I thought this was a Diane Warren atrocity. It might as well be.

Wow, you learn something new every day. I thought it was Warren too, but wiki says it isn't:
