GS Chatter indicates 1995.
-
Hint: the year Julia Roberts and Lyle Lovett split - 1995
-
TOTHK - Alanis Morissette "You Oughta Know"
-
Dionne Faris "I Know"
-
Collective Soul "December"

Collective Soul "December"
Booooooo. Very unimaginative set so far.
-
Joan Osborne "St. Teresa" preceded by a clip from Leaving Las Vegas
-
Joan Osborne "St. Teresa"
Well, good song, but just as overplayed as the others.
-
Radiohead "Fake Plastic Trees"

That song sounds remarkably like "Veronica". I wonder if Paul was inspired by it...
ETA: My chronology is all messed up. "Veronica" was from Spike in 89!
-
Newt Gingrich's contract with America into Chris Isaak "Somebody's Crying"
-
Goo Goo Dolls "Name"
-
Goo Goo Dolls "Name"
Snoooooooooooze.
-
Batman Forever into U2 "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me"
-
Smashing Pumpkins "1979"

Ok, even by the remarkably reduced expectations, this set blows. Radiohead BOS for not being overplayed, I suppose, but I picked a good time to go to Target.

Yes, yes it does.
-
Renee sez Alanis gets BOS.

Good gawd that sounds like an abomination. Plus: 2 '90s and one '00s set in less than a week. Yeesh & Sheesh.

Monday 1995
1. Alanis Morissette - You Oughta Know
2. Dionne Farris - I Know
3. Collective Soul - December
(Movie: Leaving Las Vegas)
4. Joan Osbourne - St. Teresa
5. Radiohead - Fake Plastic Trees
(Movie: Dorf tries comedy. )
6. Del Amitri - Roll To Me
(News: Newt wants to change America)
7. Chris Isaak - Somebody's Crying
8. Goo Goo Dolls - Name
9. U2 - Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me
10. Smashing Pumpkins - 1979
Dug thru the GS page to find this, and almost gave up before I finally got to it. I know I've said this before (and I do like most of those folks), but the signal-to-noise ratio there is off the charts.

So, does the KFOG page not list this anymore? Wouldn't be surprised.
Yeah, I pretty much like everyone there, but there is a strand of groupthink which can make it unbearable at times.
The latest thing is the dual thread of KFOG/some other station. I've suggested separate threads... we'll see.

“Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.”

I think that was just last week when RR was on vacay -- folks were sampling The Sound. Tho' I can't blame anyone for switching stations when KFOG does '90s/'00s.

It was happening yesterday too, although I'm not sure about today.
