ETA: Whoops... it isn't the first time I've found an error in the set list posted on the KFOG site.
ETA2: Changed it back. Apparently the correct song title is "Jenny Take A Ride."
But guess what? Online sources say it was released & charted in 1965!

minor quibble: we heard that Kinks tune in last week's Tax Day set.

Fun Monkees clip.
I imagine I said this before, but it's funny how Mickey uses an English accent on this song, perhaps just to make "again" rhyme with "train".

Everybody MUST git stoned! But Renee must literally get stones thrown at her.
-
The Sound played Slade's Run Runaway.. very nice to hear that one.
-
Donovan and Beach Boys: co-uber-LNs, from an oldies/rock radio perspective (tho' I'll always love the word "excitations"). But generally this was a better-than-average '60s excursion. iirc, this was Renee's 2nd '60s set, after that first 1968 debacle.
I have a 10:40 meeting, so this worked out nicely. BOS the fabulous and underrated Troggs.

Whaddaya know? Another "classic" that is actually worthy of the name. By RR standards, at least.
ETA: And she didn't recite the number of each song in the backsell, just a couple of them. This one sounded a lot more off the cuff and relaxed than the ones we get nowadays.
