Could be '60s... could be another '80s set. Will we get a "Time" set for daylight savings tomorrow?
This is that period with a bunch of potential theme sets:
St Pats Day (it's a Sunday this year)
April Fool's
Tax day
Earth day
-
Clues: Angelina Jolie marries Billy Bob Thornton; Brad Pitt marries Jennifer Aniston - 2000.

eeek. Count me out. Last 200 set was in Dec:
1. Matchbox 20 - Bent
2. Keb' Mo' - The Door
3. Mark Knopfler - What It Is
(Movie: Traffic)
4. Linkin Park - In The End
5. Coldplay - Yellow
(Commercial: Montgomery Ward goes out of business)
6. Lifehouse - Hanging By A Moment
7. 3 Doors Down - Kryptonite
(Al Gore loses the election)
8. Barenaked Ladies - Pinch Me
9. Five For Fighting - Easy Tonight
10. The Dandy Warhols - Bohemian Like You
Dandy Warhols is a *guaranteed* repeater.
-
TOTHK - Green Day "Warning"
-
Green Day, in one of their more tolerable efforts. I'll give it an HM.
-
TOTHK - Green Day "Warning"
BOS - I don't have high expectations.
-
TOTHK - Green Day "Warning"
A dead rip-off of the Kinks' Picture Book.
-
Matchbox Twenty "If You're Gone"
-
Five For Fighting "Superman"
-
OMFG - Afroman "Because I Got High"
WTF - Renee only played part of the song???
-
Coldplay "Trouble"
-
Coldplay "Trouble"
Yawn. At least it's not "Yellow".
-
OMfG - Afroman "Because I Got High"
I'll be impressed when they play "She Won't Let Me F*ck". As it is, they remove the "dirty" verse in BIGH.
WOS, just because BIGH will be stuck in my head all day...
-
Out of five songs so far, three repeat artists from the last 2000 trip (but different songs, so at least there's that).
-
Ken' Mo' "Come On Back"
-
Ken' Mo' "Come On Back"
Four out of six?
-
Paul Simon "You're The One"
-
Paul Simon "You're The One"
Is this the "rarity" of the day? I don't remember hearing this on KFOG at all back in 2000, although I could imagine it getting play on Rosalie's show.
-
Papa Roach "Last Resort"
-
Papa Roach "Last Resort"
Oh my. Never heard this one before, with good reason.
-
Two complete non-KFOG surprises so far. Not bad, even though I strongly dislike this Papa Crotch song.
-
Everclear "Wonderful"
-
Collective Soul "Perfect Day"
-
OMG...Collective Soul with Elton John.
The segues were kind of shaky, but whoever picked the tracks for this set knew what they were doing.
-
Collective Soul "Perfect Day"
Is that Elton John singing with them, or just somebody who sounds like him?
-
Renee: "Oh man!"

At least it wasn't entirely plucked from KFOG's regular playlist--progress?
-
Per Renee: Green Day BOS; Afroman VHM.
Renee: "I thought you guys would like Papa Roach more." :o

Papa Roach, Papa Chubby, Uncle Kracker... whatever.
-
1. Green Day - Warning
2. Matchbox Twenty - If You're Gone
3. Five For Fighting - Superman
4. Afroman - Because I Got High
(Movie: Erin Brokovich.)
5. Coldplay - Trouble
(News: Elian Gonzalez taken by the Feds)
6. Keb Mo - Come On Back
7. Paul Simon - You're The One
8. Papa Roach - Last Resort
9. Everclear - Wonderful
(TV: Survivor)
10. Collective Soul - Perfect Day
-
Checking the Billboard charts, three of the songs (from Five For Fighting, Afroman, and Collective Soul/Elton John) actually charted in 2001 -- though they were on albums released in 2000. ::)

At least they didn't chart in 2003.

Good/necessary:
1. A/B

4. F/A (first one since "I'll Always Love You")
5. B/B (Coldplay is a Petty for me)
6. C/C
7. B/A
8. D-/A
9. D/D
10. A-/A-
Hmmm.... a couple of choice I wouldn't have made, a couple of real surprises. This certainly beats most of her early 1980's efforts.

Looks like everything was a bustout except Green Day (2x, actually 1x but repeated) and Everclear (1x). More than a couple noticeably haphazard clips/segues but the song selection kept things fun. I'll give this set an A-.

I could've sworn "If You're Gone" was played before, but then I realized I was confusing it with "Unwell".
