I'm guessing an early '70s set today.

And as usual, Greg finds a way to relate it to his favorite subject...himself. (It was his birth year.) Renee cackles in response.

It's a genuine 10@10 rarity --doesn't appear in the Shraytabase at all, tho' Dave (I think) played it back in the day, and I can't say I recall AL playing it.
BOS the Cat Man, "Moonshadow". Gawd I love this one.
-
BOS Cat Stevens, woo hoo!!
Yes, welcome back!
BOS3
-
Janis Joplin and Bobby McGee
-
It's Friday, I'm in a forgiving mood, LN and VHM for Janis and Bobby.
-
HM Janis, FF it may be.

uber-uber-uber-LN Janis. Sorry... easily one of the most-overplayed hits from that year in all formats.

Bobby baby kept her from the co-wah!

It appears I'm mistaken about this song, but she has played the Who alot.

I don't mind frequent artist appearances (exception: AL and the Foos) as long as it's not the same song over & over.
BOS4 Dave & Ansil Collins --ah am da magnificent, mon. A DM fave and I remember the first time I heard him play it -- I surely had not heard it since the '70s.
-
Bill Withers "Ain't No Sunshine"
Oops - forgot to mention "Double Barrel"!
-
WOS/LN The Who. I think we've identified RR's Katrina.
aw, man. Like this one. except for Pete's Whoo-hooing at the end. I bet Roger Datlrey hated it too. "I ain't singing that shite!"
"I am the magnificent...."
This song comes from another world. Every time I hear it, I think it's from 1955 or maybe 1990 or maybe the future.
-
VHM Still Bill, tho' "Ain't No Sunshine" is LN to me, just because I listen to a lot of classic soul streams.

My source says Fragile came out on the date I mentioned above, so either way it's the wrong year.
ETA: Further hunting turns up the UK release date of November 1971. So if she's going with overseas release date, then it is correct year. But c'mon, let's be consistent here for cryin' out loud.
Oh wait. This is Renee we're talking about here. Never mind.

I see -- Wiki says 71 (and the release of the single in January of 72). So, we need a confirming source or two...
ETA: Amazon has the original release date as 72.
ETAA: I really should do some work eventually.

I still really liked this set, and I'll argue that she didn't, technically, miss the date. It existed in '71, if only as an import, so it's close enough in my book.
You guys would hate me if I were running things. I'm just not OCD enough for this lot. ???

1. Santana - Everything is Coming Our Way
2. The Raiders - Indian Reservation
3. Cat Stevens - Moonshadow
4. Janis Joplin - Me and Bobby McGee
5. Marvin Gaye - Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler)
6. The Who - Goin' Mobile
7. Dave and Ansell Collins - Double Barrel
8. Bill Withers - Ain't No Sunshine
9. Cornelius Brothers - Treat Her Like a Lady
10. Yes - Roundabout
Well, I'd call this above-average, tho' I never need to hear "Bobby McGee" ever again (anything else from Pearl woulda been a BOS) and I think "Roundabout" is rather overexposed too (sorry).
