I think that's the year this Peter Gabriel album was released. Missed the intro.

Ha! I said the same thing. It would appear to be '92.
-
WOS1 Tori "Kate Bush lite" Amos.

Yep, '92. As usual, they play the hit (Digging In the Dirt) rather than any sort of deep track but that seems to be our lot in life any more. Could be worse, coulda been Steam.

Which song? In any case, I'll disagree with the "W" portion. I've always liked Amos.

"Crucify" -- sorry, her way-too-derivative-of-KB stuff kinda grates on me.
-
OMFG...is Renee actually playing Detatchable Penis?!?!?!
-
WOS2 Dan Quayle.
But OMFG: "Detachable Penis"!! uber-uber-BOS!! Bustout of the year so far, methinks.
It's a shame about the Lemonheads.
-
Woohoo! Uber BOS, "Detachable Penis"!
-
OMFG...is Renee actually playing Detatchable Penis?!?!?!
That would be yes. With a particularly pithy segue from Dan Quayle dissing on Murphy Brown. BOS King Missile.
If she'd play Jesus Was Way Cool, I would shit.
-

BOS of course. Now, if she could only do this more often.

it's cool, although I'd've preferred "Girl" or "Little Earthquakes".
-
the Peak did (January) 1993 today and also played "Man on the Moon"
-
Yes, Sting -- it probably IS you. Whoever dealt it, smelt it.
-
I love this Sting song, so BOS3. (1 and 2 going to Tori Amos & Deet Peet.)
-
the Peak did (January) 1993 today and also played "Man on the Moon"
THe second single from 1992's "Automatic For The People" peaked on the charts in 1993, so I suppose it could go either way.
-
"It's Probably Me" was on 1993's "Ten Summoners Tales", but if memory serves the single was actually released in 92.

I don't mind it being in the earlier year in cases like these. It's when a song is released in 98 and spends most of its useful chart life in 99, and then she plays it in, say, 96 that bothers me (i.e. Back 2 Good)
-
"WHYYYYYYYY???" no, seriously, why? uber-LN Annie Lennox.
-

I tell you what. Today is definitely 14 January 2013. :)

Is that from where Peet's Coffee got its name? ;D
-
"WHYYYYYYYY???" no, seriously, why? uber-LN Annie Lennox.
And it's a real downer. "Walking On Broken Glass", while LN, will at least not put you to sleep. I know that "Little Bird" was a Morey fave, but I can't recall its last 10@10 appearance. Certainly better than "Why".
-
I'll BOS AIC. WHY not?

LOL! I'm drinking a Peet's Matcha Latte as we speak... :-X

WOS2 from me -- I never "got" them.
VHM "Kiko and the Lavender Moon" or whatever this is called..

Whoops! You be right. Fixed.
BOS2 Los Lobos, Kiko and the Lavender Moon.

I'll take "Why" over WoBG because the latter, in my opinion, is like the sun screaming at you during a hangover.
This Los Lobos Lavender Moon thing is NTM. I guess I'll VHM it.
-
I'll BOS AIC. WHY not?
Alice In Chains? "Would"? "The Rooster"?
-
Automatic WOS to Sublime, but at least this one isn't exactly LN. I appreciated this set's irreverence.
-
Sublime's version of "Smoke 2 Joints"? in '92? WOS3 -- lawd, I hate this band.
-

Would
But would have preferred Rooster
-
I liked this set more than the '92 usual.

Concur. And it's miles ahead of last Friday's 1982 LN-fest.

Very good way to start a Monday.

Very good way to start a Monday.
One of the better '92 10 @ 10s for me. Enjoyable, even.
-
I also note that the KFOG page clues are a bit more original than what we've seen recently. Baby steps, baby steps.

2. Tori Amos - Crucify
(News: Dan Quayle criticizes Murphy Brown)
3. King Missile - Detachable Penis
4. Lemonheads - It's A Shame About Ray

Fun Fact: Macy Gray covered "Smoke 2 Joints" last year. Shocker.

except for stupor-hit six and unlucky seven, I liked the set, too.
When Detachable Penis came out (so to speak) I was a few years past living in NY, and the bit about the stuff they sell on blankets near St Marks Place was amusing. My friend sold stuff there, and he would probably have asked more than $22 for detached penii, had he encountered any

I was listening to live 105 quite a bit around then. Big Rick back-announced it once as Mariah Carey, Unplugged.
