Mon 1/14/13: Monday Songs
Sir Bob & his rats (of course) to start.
Mr Buffett before he became a cliche.
F.Mac, "Monday Morning" -- no surprise there.
ooo! BOS Duran2 "New Moon on Monday"
wow: "Monday Thru Friday" by Cliff Richard is NTM. I couldn't even tell you what year this is from. Not a charted single in the US. (ETA: it's from '79 -- same LP as "We Don't Talk Anymore". Live'n'learn.)
uber-uber-LN: "Monday Monday", tho' necessary in this context I guess. Ditto "Manic Monday"
BOS2 New Order "Blue Monday"
1 Boomtown Rats/I Don't Like Mondays
2 Jimmy Buffet/Come Monday
3 Fleetwood Mac/Monday Morning
4 Duran Duran/New Moon on Monday
5 Cliff Richard/Monday thru Friday
6 Mamas and Papas/Monday Monday
7 Bangles/Manic Monday
8 New Order/Blue Monday
9 Kylie Minogue/I Can't Get Blue Monday Out of My Head
That Kylie thing -- essentially a mash-up of her "can't Get It Out of My Head" and "Blue Monday" -- was NTM. Odd choice; they seemed desperate to avoid the Carpenters.

Tue 1/15/13: what's "NEW"?
INXS, "NEW SensatioLN" to start; JB's got a brand NEW bag. And an LN2.
Everclear, "I Will Buy You a NEW Life"
WOS1 Yael Colbie Bareilles Feist, "NEW Soul"
Miss Patti LaBelle gots her a "NEW attitude", gurl!
Huey Parker Lewis Jr, "I Want a NEW Ghostbuster"
LN3: Iggles "NEW Kid in Town"
OMG: an Iggles twin-spin! VHM "Funky NEW Year", just 'cause it's one you never hear. "Nurse... I'm worse!"
LN4: U2 "NEW Year's Day"

Wed 1/16/13: It's COLD up in here!
Didn't hear an intro but the first song is "ICE Ice Baby"... uber-WOS, nowhere to go but up from here. "Word to ya mutha".
VHM "COLD as Ice", still one of Foreigner's best 45s.
uber-LN: "Long COOL Woman"
BOS1: "10th ave FREEZE-out"; BOS2 Ms Benatar, "Fire & ICE".
oy: Katy Perry, "Hot 'n' COLD"
Ha! VHM "Funky COLD Medina"
BOS3 Stones "She's So COLD".

Thur 1/17/13: Red & Gold (for the Niners, presumably)
1 Fixx/Red Skies
2 Peter Gabriel/Red Rain
3 Prince/Little Red Corvette
4 UB40/Red Red Wine
5 Spandau Ballet/Gold
6 Fleetwood Mac/Gold Dust Woman
7 Sting/Fields of Gold
8 America/Sister Golden Hair
9 David Bowie/Golden Years

Fri 1/18/13: Atlanta vs. SF (artists from both cities)
instant BOS Outkast (ATL), "Hey Ya"
"rockabye" -- Shawn Mullins is from Atlanta? I always assumed Tennessee.
"Athens is close enuf to Atlanta" to play REM, he says. LN1 "Stand"
I guarantee one of the SF artists is Train.
WOS Black Crowes, yes they ram.
Well, I suppose the Dead were inevitable, and a deep cut impossible but uber-uber-LN "Touch of Grey"
also predictable, given "Bob"s target demo: Green Day.
Oy: uber-uber-LN2 Steve Miller "Rock'N'Me"
Oy2: "We Built This LN3" followed by "L(N4)ights".

In spite of the inevitable LN-deluge, this is actually not a bad idea.
