or so it would appear.  I'll pass.

ETA: it's '93, not '96. I'll still pass.

I'm assuming it aired in the PM slot.

I had guessed '96 today because of the clue (something about an Intel Pentium chip) but also because we haven't hit '96 since early August.

WOS/LN RHCP.
I don't know what this second song is but I don't love it.
Counting Crows - "Round Here".  VHM I guess...this was before they became reliably horrible.
Something more upbeat would be good about now.

I'm pulling a holiday coverage shift today, minding the CNET front door and cleaning up some stuff that's collected in our "to-do" list, so I'm listening for shits and giggles.

So far:
RHCP-Soul to Squeeze
Cowboy Junkies- (wedding themed song, "wear your ring" can't recall the name)
Counting Crows-'Round Here

A few shits so far, minimal giggles.

Just heard  Morphine's Buena, which is pretty much a K among their songs. Meh.

Followed by Sarah McLachlan. All breathy and shit. More meh.

This set was full of songs that I liked... back in 1993 or 1994. With two exceptions, they haven't aged well:

Tim's Top 40 Peak/Necessary:

1. 1(2)/D
2. XX/D
3. 27/D-
4. XX/D
5. XX/F - DDR really needs to quit with her obsessiveness about them... she's reached FP r/ Springsteen levels
6. 15/D-
7. XX/D+
8. 1(4)/C - I'll confess to liking McLachlan (don't get the McLesbian digs)
9. 11/B+
10. 4/D

Are the chart numbers for Hot 100 or the chart on which the song best performed?

In my opinion she's such a lesbian in every way except for not liking girls.  But she's all Lillithy and stuff.

I would type out ra(n)tings too, but I'll just call everything an average of D+ for good and F+ for necessary.
