Post by: RGMike on December 07, 2012, 09:53:24 AM
'60s? a Spirit-active year, perhaps?

More likely another '80s set, I'm guessing.

wow: '65!  BOS1 Beau Brummels.

BOS2 Zombies, "She's Not Theeeeeeeere"

Rickenbacker madness with Ticket To Ride and The Byrds!

I used to love watching the closing credits to Get Smart --- all those doors were trippy.

Is this a Dave Morey classic set?  sounds so much like him

Hilarity continues with Wolly Bully ... "Sally tole Halley... Let's don't take no chance."

Somebody forgot to pot down their signal.  That K-Mart ad stepping on Otis was harsh.

ETA: On the other hand, someone has been doing some digging in the ad archive--Stan Freberg and Jonathan Winters. Dave would be proud!

oh, how many times have I tried that "would you like to see my Electric Milky Way Machine?" as an opening line...

nice commercail clip assortment.  Good qualtiy. It sucks when they play commercials that just  are .. sucky.

yes, I do believe in Magic.. and apparently KFOG believes in playing LNs.

wow: Stan Freberg and Jonathan Winters in the same commercial montage. uber-BOS7!

VHM the Spoonful.  I've never tried to tell a stranger 'bout-a rock'n'roll.

closest thing to an LN: the 'oo. This was a delightful half-hour.  The thing about pre-'67 sets is that few of the songs are KFOG playlist staples any more, and a lot of them aren't even on Oldies 103.7 these days.

I don't even tell my friends about Rock and Roll.  If they don't know by now, eff 'em.

how funny.. just the other day I heard this song and listened to that line closely and thought "well, that's just silly."  I suppose in the era RnR was... new?

Damn!  I missed it. Just tuned in to Maggie's Farm.  Our band is playing at Bethany UMC this Sunday, and I chose to do People Get Ready on Sunday, being as it's Advent and all.  And tonight, we checked out Jones UMC's Christmas concert (they are kitty corner to Winterland) and what did they play?  People Get Ready!  Yowza!
