Or so the clues on the promo would indicate.
Predictions: Sweet Home Alabama, Killer Queen, Come & Get Your Love, Rock On, Waterloo, Taking Care of Business, I Shot the Sheriff, something by Macca, something by Elton
-
I'm one-for-one. Unfortunately. uber-uber-LN1 Crapton

I just turned it on to hear EC, and I was hoping you would be listening/posting. I have to say I was hoping for more sarcasm in your comment, though ;-)

This underwhelming Grand Funk cover fits right in with this group.
-
WOS1 another GFR crappy white-boy soul cover.
-
Stream is way behind and we're two-for-two in the LN column, just two songs in. Pining for AL's prowess in the 70s here.
-
VHM Buffett before he became a cliche. This may be the closest to a rarity we get, kids.

I'd never heard this before. I like it a lot better than Margaritaville. DC has been saving the more interesting songs, usually two-three, for the end, kind of like AL often saved slot 10 for her most rocking song.

I fear you're right. Linda When She Was Hot sure isn't one.
-
Not exactly a rarity but VHM Linda R.
-
BOS J Geils! I love Renee!
-
Some of the old AL gang must be lovin' it, though. Well, at least one (the knife, the knife!)
-
we used to call overused news clips "Sallys" -- and the Patty Hearst one sure is.
Must of got BOS: J Geils -- shades of AL.

Speaking of the knife between the teeth image, I wonder if RR has ever been deemed worthy. It's hard to picture, frankly (not to mention DC or Icky).
Can one king fu fight with a knife between the teeth? Hi yaaaaaah!
-
Hit number 666 indeed -- Now *THIS* woulda been a good "Turkey" last week. BOS2 "Kung-Fu Fighting"... just because.
-
Here's your Killer!
-
jeezus I REALLY hoped to be wrong about "Killer Queen" -- one of the most-played tracks in the Classic Rock canon. Oy.
-
BOS3 Stones -- Tahm wayts fo' no wun.
"Time can tear down a building
Or destroy Keith Richards' face"

Mick Taylor Santana

BOS 2, the Stones. Sounding really good this morning.

Maybe a cross between Santana and Dickey Betts. Very nice solo.

Good call. Has that Allmans tone.
I'm not familiar with this country-tinged song. Sounds like Bruce or Tom Waits. DC is saving the best for last again.
-
that HFH medley with the radio-dial-spin effects was taken straight from a Morey set.
BOS4 Tom Waits for everyone! "Heart of Saturday Night" -- awesomely wonderful.

It is Mr. Waits. He sounds like Springsteen on a song on Rain Dogs, too. Downtown Train, I think.
-
wow, the famous "Sneakin' Sally" medley -- a nod to better 10@10 hosts past...
ETA: oops, we didn't get the full medley.
1. Eric Clapton - I Shot The Sheriff
2. Grand Funk Railroad - Some Kind Of Wonderful
(TV: Brady Bunch - Oliver joins the show. Shark jumping ensues)
3. Jimmy Buffet - A Pirate Looks at 40
4. Linda Rondstadt - You're No Good
(News: Patty Hearst is captive, robs bank.)
5. J. Geils Band - Must of Got Lost
6. Carl Douglas - Kung Fu Fighting
7. Queen - Killer Queen
8. The Rolling Stones - Time Waits For No One
(Laughter in the Rain, Cher, Manilow and other cheese from the 70s)
9. Tom Waits - The Heart of Saturday Night
10. Robert Palmer - Sneakin' Sally Through The Alley

It was an AL favorite, for sure. I never listened that closely to it before, though. It's a good song.

Dave played it often too -- but always as part of the "Sailin' Shoes" medley.
