Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeg, (it will come back to you)
I'm not minding this. Haven't heard it in a long time.
-
Patti doing Bruce sounds good to me too, despite its overexposure.

Nope, you didn't miss it. But listening to the Michael McDonald-heavy Doobies reminds me of Peg. There's one note in particular that sounds like his bit in Peg.

BOS Tom Petty, "I Need to Know".
-
good lord: Petty followed by Toto. "Need to Know" isn't egregiously overplayed, so VHM. But "Hold the Line" I didn't need today.
-
VHM PG "DIY"
-
BOS for Peter Gabriel doing it himself. He uses a very Genesis voice in this song, I think.

I'll give an HM to Talking Heads.

I'll give an HM to Talking Heads.
Me too, tho' this set is in desperate need of a rarity or 3.

Neil isn't a rarity per se, but sounding very good to me.

Agreed. Very pretty. It's kind of amazing, but every once in a while a NY track I'm not overly familiar with jumps up to surprise me.

Agreed, haven't heard this in longer than I care to admit. Nicolette Larson sounding very Emmylou-esque on harmony. BOS2.
Oh, and BOS1 to the Peter Gabriel tune.
-
holy crap, where's Geoff?? Methinks "Rivers of Babylon" is a serious rarity if not a bustout. Too bad Boney M are one of the worst bands in history. WOS from me.

I was trying to determine if that was Emmylou or not. I was going with NOT, but I didn't have an alternate name. Thanks for that!

Hahaha! I've certainly never heard this before. The Melodians original (?) is much better.
Does anybody remember Zion? (apologies to Robert Plant)

just curious... was there a radio station near you that actually played that song at the time? Other then the few weeks it spent on Casey Kasem's chart, it never got any love on the NYC airwaves.
