Title: 30 Oct 2012: it's... 1995
Post by: RGMike on October 30, 2012, 08:49:56 AM
Well, '89 yesterday and H'ween tomorrow means this oughta be a '70s day. or maybe even '60s. But I'll predict '74 or '76.

wrong: 1995. she's "Lump" alright. I'm outta here.

Lump as the 1995 TOTHC, I'm feeling deja vu.

LN Twin-Spin to Dionne Farris & the Goo Goo Dolls.

Next up: Joan Osblorf doing "St. Teresa."  At least it isn't "One of Us."

Another LN twinspin for Alanis Moreupset & Collective Soul.

Well, this Lisa Loeb song should have been a nice surprise considering Hits 106 was all about it back then and I don't think I've heard it since about 1995-6.  But I can't enjoy it too much because I'm still mad that she played Stay last week.

VHM2U2.

I really like this U2 song, one of the few I dig since their delay-pedal dominated heyday (not that this song is lacking in guitar effects).

A good way of describing this set would be "Considerably less than the sum of its parts".
