I really thought they would run that '73 set that aired as the last "classic" in May 2009 before AL took over -- it ended with "Neither One Of us (Wants to Be The First To Say Goodbye)"-- but I guess getting '72 yesterday precludes that.
Someone on FB suggested one of the many 1969 affairs that ended with "Someday We'll Be Together" but I suppose that's out too.
I was just perusing the thread from the last "live" Morey set -- the Dec 19th 2008 "Foghead Xmas Card". Many misty eyes that morning.

Sheesh, 1991 -- yeah Rosalie "picked these sets at random". Sure. What a crock. Renee is a natural-born liar. I'm outta here.

Seems odd we got a big "clump" of them -- 87, 89, 90, 91, 92...but nothing after.

There were probably less Morey '93-'97 sets to pick from, but I'll go out on a limb and predict Renee does one from that stretch and another from '98-'03 in her first week. And hope to gawd I'm wrong. ;)

So where DOES that Peter Sellers quote come from? (In BAD's Rush)

"Rhythm and melody"? I believe it's from one of his '60s comedy LPs -- all of which were produced by Sir George Martin. Check out his "cover" of "A Hard days Night":

1. Metallica - Enter Sandman
2. Dire Straits - The Bug
(News: Frank Jordan running for Mayor of SF)
3. REM - Losing My Religion
(PSA: AIDS)
4. Fine Young Cannibals - Love For Sale
(New: LAPD Chief promises investiagtion into Rodney King video)
5. Matthew Sweet - Girlfriend
6. Simple Minds - See The Lights
(News: Bush: The Battle has been joined)
7. INXS - Disappear
8. Big Audio Dynamite - Rush
(News: War begins in Iraq)
9. Roger McGuinn - King of The Hill
10. Marc Cohn - Silver Thunderbird
clever Moreyesque segue from "Losing My Religion" to the AIDS PSA, as the REM song was long rumored to be about Mr Stipe's own seroconversion.

That's true, but there are still enough to last more than two weeks. When AL reruns ran after the changeover we got a lot of her late 90s sets even though she hadn't done very many up to that point.
I wish we would have gotten 1993. I miss hearing Haddaway on 10@10. :(

well, you can campaign to get Renee to play that one. Assuming she really intends to take "suggestions" via FB.

I'll go ahead and suggest that the Renee era will at least start with, per week:
1) a 90's set
2) an 80's set
3) a 70's set
4) 2/3 of the time a 60's set, 1/3 of the time a 00's set (we've actually only had a singular '00 set since April).
5) a wild card - either an extra selection from 70-99 or a themed set.
