Holy Crap -- Gomer's birthday salute -- this one is OLD!
Good gawd: 1987 -- traditionally Dave's all-time-worst year. Bye!

From 12/22/2005:
Wang Chung Everybody Have Fun Tonight
Jon Astley Jane's Getting Serious
Suzanne Vega Solitude Standing
Billy Vera & the Beaters At This Moment
Chris Isaak Blue Hotel
Rock & Hyde Dirty Water
BoDeans Dreams
Robbie Nevil C'est La Vie
Cutting Crew I Just Died In Your Arms
Starship Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now
egad this is awful, although SRW posted the full lyrics to C'est La Vie in case you're interested.
By the way, RGMike, this is what you posted during the original airing:
From Wang Chung to Jon Astley...
Since I know there's almost never been a really good '87 set (IMHO), I'm gonna bail. Talk to ya thru today, and I'll be around for Ginger & Dave tomorrow -- before I head out to see King Kong. Merry Happy and Happy Merry, all!
Special wishes to Gaz for a swift end to the MTA strike (I hear they're talking, at least).

oh you kids today...
Ginger is the bright and very personable midday jock on Boulder, CO's KBCO, a triple-A station that we stumbled upon back in '05 or thereabouts

She did a VERY good 10@10 for a number of years -- easily on a par with The Peak's -- and (like Rob Arrow) her '60s and '70s sets could be downright spectacular. Played lots of forgotten prog-FM classics in those years. Several of us struck up an e-mail correspondence with her (this was pre-Facebook) and she occasionally gave us a shout-out on the air. Then one midweek day in October of 2008, 10@10 just... disappeared. When we asked what was up she said it was going "on hiatus", basically to see if there was a huge outcry from listeners to bring it back. And sadly, there wasn't. She said she really liked doing it -- especially playing the forgotten gems -- but that KBCO's core Triple-A audience didn't really like hearing those songs, preferring new Dave Matthews to old John Prine. *sigh* I'll add only that it was the year the Rockies were in the World Series and we tried (unsuccessfully) to get her to do a Baseball-themed set. Little did we know the show would disappear a week later.
