"Do it Again", I think. VHM.
and BOS1 Pretenders "Time the Avenger"
-
hard not to share at least BOS with Chrissie
Time The Avenger
-
"dogs and cats... living together!"
BOS2 Ray Huey Parker Lewis Jr, "I Want a New Ghostbuster".
Bustin' makes me feel good!
-
rather LN-ish: Bowie.
-
WOS Cars. But VHM 16 Candles.
-
BOS3 Eurythmics.
-
BOS4 JJ, "YCGWYW(TYKWYW)". OK?
-
maybe I'm just in a good mood, but BOS5 Lou Reed's ode to French impressionists, "I Love You Cezanne"
-
BOS JJ.
Hmm, could hear SRV's "Lenny" in the background of that last movie clip ("can I borrow your underpants"), but no Lenny to follow. :(
-
no idea who song 9 was. or song 10, for that matter.
-
1. The Kinks - Do it Again
2. The Pretenders - Time the Avenger
(Movie: Ghostbusters - Dr. Peter Venkman (Bill Murray) "Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!")
... 3. Ray Parker, Jr. - Ghostbusters
4. David Bowie - Blue Jean
(Movie: Sixteen Candles - Samantha (Molly Ringwald) "It is physically impossible for me to get happy.")
5. The Cars - Why Can't I Have You?
6. Eurythmics - Who's That Girl?
(News: Reagan wins 49 of 50 states in the presidential election; Mondale/Ferraro win a battle for gender equality)
7. Joe Jackson - You Can't Get What You Want (Till You Know What You Want)
(But hey, enough of my yakking. Let's boogie.") from??
8. Lou Reed - I love you, Suzanne
(Movie: Sixteen Candles - Farmer Ted (Anthony Michael Hall) zones in on Samantha's brainwaves)
9. Lyres - I Want to Help You, Ann
(Movie: Sixteen Candles - Farmer Ted "Can I borrow your underpants for ten minutes?")
10. The Replacements - I Will Dare
that Lyres tune was NTM -- a bustout?

That was the Lyres? I have a couple of cassettes of them around someplace, but wouldn't have guessed that in a zillion years. They were pretty much an east coast thing, I think.

song 9, sure, but you didn't recognize Paul Westerberg's voice? I think he is pretty darn distinctive. Anyway working from home today & get to enjoy consecutive 10@10's for the first time in a very long while. Pretty good set, I had about 5 BOS's in there.

I liked 3-7.
