Not expecting it to measure up to the Memorial Day Set, but one never knows.
-
Kaiser blocking audio again (unclear as to whether it's permanent) so listening over-the-air. There may be spoilers.

Ah. I'm thinking this might be a bustout.

VHM "Sweet Home Chicago", about the only decent Blues Bros track from the movie.

Seems like Dennis might be giving AL a longer leash, so as to get all the pissed off 'boomers to tune back in after the morning show abomination.

I don't know *WHAT* DC is doing, and I'm not sure he does either ;)
I mean, you spend 2 weeks doing an A-to-Z that includes tons of stuff you haven't played since last summer, and that you seem to not be playing since A-to-Z ended (based on cursory looks at TuneGenie). You start a new morning show that so far ain't great (granted, it was the first day, but still). And why were Webster's ratings down? maybe because you dumbed the show down in the first place? Sheesh.

Jackson's on da Boulevard.

XTC gets another LN from me.

Coming from Mike, this sounds like a downright positive endorsement! I was luxuriating in bar after bar of genuine American music being played by master blues musicians, hearing Duck Dunn percolating underneath it all!

Yes, the Blues Brothers band had some stellar players; nice that they all got steady paychecks -- but the whole project still smacked of blues-in-whiteface. The first LP was entertaining, but on the movie sndtk, things like their cover of "Gimme Some Lovin'" were just awful and unnecessary.
