The "Paul Harvey of the left" (sorta) was 75.

During my teen years he hosted a Sunday evening political call-in show called "The Rawhide Realities Revue" on Sacramento's KZAP. I listened regularly and I believe that is what informed a lot of my left-leaning inclinations to this day. RIP Travus. One of the last of your breed.

He was definitely a part of my life when KPIG was here in the Bay Area.  I'd hear his 7:00 newscast everyday on the way to work, and get a totally different take on things than the corporate news hounds.  I miss him, but he's been gone so long from the local aether anyway.
