Safe bet. I'd have picked Fight For Your Right as a shoo-in, but as it was both released and charted in 86, we're probably looking at Brass Monkey, which didn't hit the Hot 100 until '87.

Speaking of FFYR(TP), check out this tribute to MCA that Coldplay did Friday night at the Hollywood Bowl. Pretty cool even if it is Coldplay. (Scroll down; it's at the bottom of the piece.)

Yeah, "Brass Monkey" was my bet too. And "Fight..." got played on the Morning show at 6:30 so I would HOPE she doesn't play that one.  ;)

All due respect to MCA, but I don't see the attraction of "Brass Monkey".

And there it is.

Wow, either a late start to the set or the stream is way behind today--or both. Tuned in at 10:09 figuring to catch the 2nd or 3rd song, and instead heard the last few seconds of AL's intro.

I'll be flamed for saying I thought the Beasties were overrated, but I really do think they were.

Oy: "Hourglass" as predicted.  uber-LN, tho' AL hasn't gone to this well as often as Dave did.

No need for huge hit U2. But what was that clip with Peter Falk? Didn't sound even slightly familiar.

ETA: Stream appears to be a whole song behind...

Wings of Desire -- lovely film, and I don't even believe in angels.

inevitable LN: U2.

At the very least. Siouxsie just began a minute or so ago for me. BOS-worthy, imo.

Heh, I actually like this Pink Floyd song, even though the lyrics are insipid.

I'm kinda over Mojo Nixon's "Elvis is Everywhere". Must be one of DC's "trigger" songs.

agree -- it's a jokey song and the joke is now very old.

the line that does it for me is the bit about the Anti-Elvis --  "Michael J Fox has no Elvis."
