No clues tonite, unless AL is staying up late.
ETA: yeah, posting the year after 10pm kinda sucks.
-
She doesn't want to catch the flak that comes with announcing, "Ladies and gentlemen, 1996!"
-
it seems like 1978, if the movie "Foul Play" is the main clue.
wow, the year was dominated by all the Brothers Gibb.

1978 and you KNOW I like my BeeGee's. Great options for music this year. I unfortunately have a 9:45 appt. CRAP.....

The request page has turned into an episode of The Simpsons.
-
Webster just promo'd a 1978 10@10 by invoking the Go-Gos and Dexy's Midnight Runners. WTF?
-
One way or another, this set will become more necessary than this oft-heard TOTHK by Blondie.
-
instant LN: Blondie, which is in regular KFOG rotation, still. Pass the rat food.
-
BOS Plastique Bertrand -- I am the king of the divan!
-
This song is Sofa King great!
-
eek: Toto, we're not in New Wave territory anymore.
-

BOS3 Neil's orig "Lotta Love".
-
BOS Neil, although the beginning of the song is kind of SNL/caricaturish of Neil Young
-
WOS for Rod the Mod. I know he probably doesn't deserve it, but I was so sick of him at this point in his career.

coulda been worse ("Do ya Think I'm Sexy", for example) but yeah, we've heard this one rather frequently of late. "Urine My heart" as I like to say.

proxy of Urth for Kinks
-
BOS4 Kinks.
-
it's been a while but Jose says AL has the knife between her teeth! I think an overly-repeated FB meme should officially be called a JF.
BOS5 Todd. He's Godd, ya know.
-
OMFG: uber-BOS6 Undertones!!
-
well, for a '78 set that didn't have any bustouts and no disco, this was pretty damn enjoyable.
-
FB comment of the day: someone referred to the leader of a certain Boston new wave band as "Ric O-Carsick" I'm using that from now on.

that's pretty funny, I admit. Why, just this past weekend I was just listening to a Ric Ocasek solo record called Nexterday, it's something I picked up at the old Tower Records Going Out of Business *sniff* sale way back when.
I loave/lurrve/luff The Cars. Complete sledgehammer band for me. Eliot Easton is aces.
PS: I'm bummed no one commented on my awesome pun about Plastique Bertrand: "That song is Sofa King great!" :P
