It will be wonderful to hear Dave's voice, but I'm curious why they decided to go all the way back to 2003 to find a "classic" -- is it beyond the Statute of Limitations (re: which of Dave shows they can play without having to pay him)?
And the Chron interview with AL said she was going to do a food-related 10@10; she did an excellent one last year they could've replayed.

Maybe she still plans to do it upon her return, so they didn't want to over-do the theme.

"Stuffing muffins"? Sounds like a euphemism to me. Oh baby, stuff my muffin! Or shake my bon-bon...

BOS3 Chumbawumba -- If only we'd known in 2003 how many times a week KFOG would be playing this one in 2011.

There are 2 versions -- the original indie-label version and the remake they did when they got signed to RCA. I can never remember which is which but the indie version was the one I heard first on alt-radio in NY.
But jeezus, this one is totally uncensored!!

It's hilarious that this Mahna Mahna song was first used in a softcore movie:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXo1ufdQ4sg
And that it's used in the Muppets
http://www.slate.com/articles/arts/culturebox/2011/11/_mahna_mahna_how_a_ditty_from_a_soft_core_italian_movie_became_the_muppets_catchiest_tune_.html
Which are having a new movie soon.
And I've never heard it before. :)

The lamentable Mojo Nixon had a "hit" with said euphemism, "Stuffin' Martha's Muffin."

The song has quite a history:

And the unknown band performing the song is Marc 4 feat. Alessandro Alessandroni.
