damn, I used to read that magazine religiously back in the '80s -- there were newsstands in the Village that carried it, and it was of course an import. For a while I actually subscribed tho' that meant getting it a month later. I think it was one of their writers who called Bananarama "those 3 talentless slags". LOL!

You and me both. That must've been an expensive subscription! I spent way too much money back then on import music mags. It started with Smash Hits, then evolved into The Face, NME, Melody Maker, Select (my fave), and Q.
