has it really been 3 months since we last had a 1980 set?
Sadly my wish-list is still unaccessable.

Didn't you get a new PC kind of recently?
I put a few 80 requests up on FB.
-
Oh my -- instant BOS Pretenders, "Kid", copping a riff from "More"
-
completely unnecessary: "Whip It".
Shirley you can't be serious. and don't call me Surely.
VHM "Canary in a Coalmine"; ditto Split Enz.
-
also unnecessary: "Gen'rals 'n' 'Trinas"
-
I feel so... alone...
-
BOS2 Joy Diviz, frequent-flier tho' it may be.
-
I feel so... alone...
you aren't alone. we love you.
-
seriously, Dire Straits is a band I NEVER need to hear again. bye bye.
-
Not the 80 I would like. BOS so far Knopfler.
-

well I know I'm not alone on AL's FB page! ;)
VHM "Skateaway".
-

Are the FBers lapping up the dreck and wanting more?

Excellent guitar work.
I can understand that Brothers in Arms did that to some people -- it was everywhere for what seemed like years. But Making Movies was one I nearly wore out in 1980. (and thus "Skateaway" is an Alison.)

I'm assuming "Holiday In Cambodia" has not been played.

I think it is Mark's voice. I like the guitar, but his voice grates on me.... like nails on a chalkboard but even that sounds better to me than his voice.

An Alison?
A song not named after the LP that nonetheless contains the LP's title in its lyrics. Named for Elvis C's "Alison" which includes the line "my aim is true".

Ahhhhhh. Very nice. I tried to find the 10at10 lexicon, but I don't remember where it is, and couldn't find it on the boards here...
-
BOS3 and TANC Stevie (see the "List Thread" under Stream of Consciousness), even if he's copping a riff from Elvis C and JJ.

Now, THAT would be a 10@10 that would throw FBers into a shitstorm. “You Learn” from Alanis Morissette.

With Diana at Bridge bene, I'd like to see a guest appreance by Elvis C. I dream of one day having him sing Alison to ME. I know, yeah right....
-
predictions for tomorrow and Fri: we'll get our first 2003 set (oy!) and a '60s or early-'70s thang.
