JJ's off this morning, but KPOO just gave us the Tempts' "Take a Stroll Thru Yo' Mind", which was, like, 15 minutes long.

Oh, dude, I heard that, too.  At about minute ten, I said "Man, I should give money to this station,"  and right after the song ended they played that station ID where the woman with the melodious voice suggests giving to KPOO, saying "it's easy.. it's quick.. and it's tax deductible ... THANK YOU."

wow, another gospelly version of "Loves Me Like a Rock" on 1340, by The Flashbacks. Nice.

it's all about 1340 the Boardwalk. Any day that I get to hear Arthur Alexander's orig version of "Anna (Go With Him)" is a good day.

had to happen: tuned in Magic 98 and they were playing "Papa Was a Rolling Stone" to remember on this 3rd of September. And followed it with Blue Swede's "nevah-nevah-nevah mah love", which I much prefer to "Hooked on a Mondegreen".

ETA: OMFG, Leif Garrett goes disco.
