AL just gave you a nice shout-out, RG. :)
I requested "Blank Generation" again. 10th time's the charm...

aw shucks, I'm blushing. I have a playable copy of that song if she doesn't. A generally impressive thread, Silly Foghead notwithstanding.
But I knew Eddie & the Hot Rods would hit her "early New Wave" sweet-spot. Hope we get to hear that one.
-
Happy times indeed. I did not jump into the silly fb fray.
-
Nice start with los Kinks. VHM "JBM".
-
BOS EC, doing the mystery dance.
-
BOS2 Poor Poor Pitiful Linda. A credit to her gender.

To be fair AL seems to handle it well.

She's clearly been told not to respond directly to complaints about the "new direction" but she also clearly feels for those of us complaining, if that all makes sense.

uber-BOS3 SNL's "pot grower's union" bit. genius. Smoke from a distant fire indeed! Oh, AL!
-
VHM Smoke from a distant fire. Was that Larraine Newman SNL clip?

only if we hear one of my requests. ;) But this is classic late-'70s 10@10 stuff for sure.
-
F-Mac overplayed but sounds good.
-
well, don't really ever need to hear "Don't Stop" again. But then KFOG is no longer playing it 17 times a week.
-
BOS MJ Enjoy Yourself
-
OMFG! the Jacksons get a BIG BOS4!
-
Hrm.. we get this frequent-flier T.Heads tune instead of "Love Goes To Building on Fire".

Perhaps a timely reminder of the Clinton campaign?

VHM Iggy on Dinah -- one of the great WTFs in TV history.

Saw your FB pics Geoff, looks like a nice time up in the montanas! Enjoy!
A 'very 1977' sounding set, all good stuff but, aside from The Jam, nothing spectacular. Still, I enjoyed it versus most sets of the the past few weeks. Only 35-min's long, no more going-to-11 (ever again)? Sigh.

the good ones are always too short. I think Mae West said that.

The Jacksons tune was a bustout, afaik.
ETA oops! Dave actually played it once, years ago.

VHM APP.
Missed the set because I was giving my B- blood to the Red Cross in Pleasanton. KFOG was on in the background, but really couldn't tell what was playing. Looks like a pretty great set from the list, but didn't ANYONE, anywhere, comment on the segue from Anita Bryant to "I Wouldn't Want To Be Like You"? I hope I can hear it tonight or tomorrow on the replay.

BOS5 early Jam! where's sundaygal?
I had a breakfast/kid's playdate over a friend's house during 10@10. I would've reconsidered if I knew she didn't own a radio and had satellite TV beforehand. Yes, I have the phone app, but I didn't want to sit at the table with my headphones on. Would've BOSed The Jacksons & The Jam fo sho. Iggy, too.

Yes, it was discussed on AL's FB page. "I wouldn't wanna be like Anita Bryant -- but Michelle Bachmann does!"
