The "classics" have become monotonous.

agreed, and I think she does retirn today (so naturally I have a 10:00 meeting). Webster's on vacay this week, so Renee's in charge (speaking of monotonous).

It's still Billy Joel to me.  A yawner to start.

Things looking up with George's tribute to John.

I was actually feeling that .38 Special song this morning.  Am I OK???

Yay Cyndi - though I would've preferred hearing All Through the Night.

They weren't, but Invisible Touch was.  Really bad, and I'm a Genesis fan (though not of that era).

Yeah, not much at all to recommend this one.  Mike could not have picked a better day for a 10 am meeting.

I hate these Chartbuster Sets, they are forever boring and are like listening to the last 20 minutes of AT40, no surprises, and all over-played hits.

but if I have to:

BOS:
All Those Years Ago - Geo Harrison

HMs:
She's A Booty - Tubes
Time After Time - Cyndi Lauper
Prince  - Raspberry Beret

WOS:
Billy Joel
38 Geary

It would be cool if all the songs played were at #40 that week or something, but yeah, this set screams "need not hear". And to wind the set up with "Good Thing"? Egad!

You've summed it up.  Guess AL's gotta please the PD and the masses now and then.  Perhaps that set was a way to ease back in from vacay mode.  Hopefully more adventurous sets the rest of the week.

glad I missed, and no desire to hear the replay. But yeah, "Chartbusters" has been AL's go-to mode the first day back from vacay.

Wasn't feeling this set too much either...I do, however, have to give a BOS to Genesis. *runs for cover*
(and HM to INXS, I guess)
