one of my '70s faves, she won accolades for her theater work, but was best-known as the wife who made "marshmallowed meatballs" in a famous Alka-Seltzer commercial.

I remember her as a player on Martin Mull's I'm Everyone I've Ever Loved, where she played a character called "Miss Playtentype." Never heard of her before or since, but I remember that bit.

Wow, that was great! Henry Sweet Henry was a 1967 musical version of the Peter Sellers film The World of Henry Orient, about 2 teen girls who become obsessed with an actor who (unbeknownst to the girls) is a vain obnoxious boor.  (I'd forgoten that Don Ameche played the Sellers role in the stage version!).  It was something of a flop but Playten was nominated for a Supporting Tony Award.
