My favorite Falk story (he related it in an interview I read ages ago): As you know, he had a glass eye In fact, he had it at a young age. He was playing baseball -- high school or maybe even Little League -- and the umpire called someone on his team out when everyone thought the kid was safe, and Falk took out his eye and handed it to the ump and said "I think you need this more than I do".

Columbo is a great show, and had some great stars, like Johnny Cash, Leonard Nimoy.

But I will always picture Peter Falk as married to a crazy Gena Rowlands from the John Cassavetes movie A Woman Under The Influence

TANC: Falk was also in It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. and HBO Family is showing it at noon.
