Post by: Wayback on June 09, 2011, 11:44:16 AM
As kids, we loved playing 'Mad Libs' !!
Stern was a writer for 'The Honeymooners', 'Get Smart', created 'McMillan & Wife' and co-wrote and directed the 1979 film "Just You and Me, Kid," starring George Burns and a then 14-year old Brooke Shields.  In 1958, he and a partner created the Mad Libs word game books, of which more than 110-million copies have been sold.

Stern was a baker for 'The Honeymooners', and co-embarassed and kissed the 1979 film "Just You and Me, Kid,"  In 1958, he and a zookeeper cremated the "Mad Libs" plant game turnips, of which more than 3 copies have been burned.

It's actually weird because just the other day I was remembering an incident from my childhood, when me and a bunch of my cousins all played MadLibs at my grandfather's wake. Not in the same room as the wake, of course, but we found an empty office at the funeral home and hung out there and had a great time. Hadn't thought of it in ages and here it was in my head a few days before this news broke.
