JJ scores as usual with Ace Spectrum's fab "Don't Send Nobody Else".
LAWD! Curtis, "Move on Up" -- this never fails to brighten my day. What a fabulous production. Bite yo' lip, and take a trip!
JJ apparently isn't there in person today, but we're getting some stellar stuff nonetheless. The Independents' "Leaving Me" is sublime, and it's followed by my all-time-fave "Stoned Outta My Mind" by the Chi-Lites.
Another gem: Graham Central Station's "Your Love", a #1 R&B hit that barely scraped into the Pop Top 40 in '75.
la-la-la-la-LAH-la! JJ's hour ends with El DeB and Switch, "There'll Never Be". Swoon!
El DeBarge: not to be confused with El Ka-Bongg!

And another gem: 95.3 The Range in Dallas -- an eclectic alt-country mix that includes everything from Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn to Drive-By Truckers.

1340 the Boardwalk just played David Ruffin's little-heard cover of "I Want You Back".
