The hint has been dropped over on FB: the year Dylan went electric. No suggestions yet, so get yours in early!
ETA: Oops, forgot to refresh before I posted. But there aren't many yet.

I guess two gimmick days in a week would be too much, but I would have suggested a "4/20" set. Starting with "Along Comes Mary."

this morning's Request-O-Rama winner asked for (and got) the Toyes, "Smoke 2 Joints".

BOS Dylan! A lesser heard track to be sure. Isn't it, Mr. Jones?

His Mr Jones trumps Counting Crows' any day.

I was never a big Dylan fan when I was younger, and have not taken the time to get acquainted w much of his older stuff (or his newer stuff for that matter), so when I hear something like this Mister Jones song, it's always a treat and a learning experience to boot. BOS2

a very fertile period, even if it seems "willfully obscure" at times. But to hear it for the first time when you were 15... absolutely mind-blowing.

I was wrong -- it's FB-based. Go to the KFOGRadio FB page and vote -- you'll only have 30 minutes after the set ends to cast yer ballot (of a thin man). I'm betting that window gets lengthened when Fogheads complain a half-hour ain't enuf.

heh, I think I voted for three different things successfully. Sort of like this board!

A high water mark in a period in Dylan's output that's rife with them. Btw, if you're seeking this out, the full title is "Ballad of a Thin Man," and it appears on Highway 61 Revisited.

I would venture to say that owning Highway 61 Revisited is a basic requirement!

I voted for three as well--Dylan, Beatles and Byrds--but some folks don't get it and added songs to the ballot that weren't in the set and aren't even from '65. Hotel California?!?! Really?!?! More evidence that some fogheads (present company excepted) are dumb as rocks.
I dunno about lengthening the voting period. I think AL used to cut off the voting around 11:30 or so anyway so they could get the list posted sometime during the noon hour. If people know they have only 30 minutes to get their votes in, they'll get with the program. Eventually.

This guitar riff is awesome, and it reminds me of some other song(s) that I can't quite place.
In the first few notes, I misheard it as "Needles & Pins." Er, pin-za.

ding ding.. ! That's what Gene Clark admitted to, per wikipedia:
The song is built around a pounding riff that Clark later admitted was based on "Needles and Pins" by The Searchers.[6]

Both covered in the 80s by Tom Petty.
