Dunno if we're going to be solicited for requests. Nothing posted as of just before 5 on Sunday.
6:00 -- the request thread is up and running.

Taxman, Mr Wilson. Taxman, Mr Heath. As good a start as any.
More anti-tax Brits: BOS1 Kinks and their big fat mama.
-
I have to leave early for work, so enjoy the taxing set! Although I must say, that "I Hate Taxes" song will sound uncomfortable in today's Libertardian-charged atmosphere.

"Tax Man", george harrison. Wikipedia:
Harrison said, "'Taxman' was when I first realised that even though we had started earning money, we were actually giving most of it away in taxes. It was and still is typical." The Beatles' large earnings placed them in the top tax bracket in the United Kingdom, liable to a 95% supertax introduced by Harold Wilson's Labour government. In a 1984 interview with Playboy magazine, Paul McCartney agreed: "George wrote that and I played guitar on it. He wrote it in anger at finding out what the taxman did. He had never known before then what he'll do with your money."
Funny how we have people railing against taxes when the top bracket is 35%.
Expect Pink Floyd, "Money". I don't like these themed 10@10's so I'll go find some album to listen to.

B1040S Taxman, of course.
I'd rather hear the mono version, or the multi-pan version, which would be great to hear one day when they decide to make it.
-
BOS2 the Pythons and their "chartered accountant", har har.
-
inevitable: Robert Cray. I guess not playing this one would be cray-cray.

Robert Cray: the only black Teatard!

VHM BNLs. But not a real VHM -- that's cruel.

Herbert Cain
Alan Keyes
plus that idiot from Oklahoma, although his name escapes me right now.

Aren't these guys Canadian? What do they know from taxes? Oh yeah, right, they're socialist or something up there.
never thought I'd hear myself say this, but these bare naked ladies are kinda boring. this banter could use a little Geddy Lee-inspired awesomeness.
"First, get a million dollars...."
-
uber-BOS3 ABC! a bustout, and a very welcome one.
-
oh yeah! BOS to ABC!
-
BOS ABC...! I remember buying this 45 at Record Factory on Polk & California. My mom probably tossed it. :'(
-
will this be a Barrett Strong/Flying Lizards twin-spin? If any set lately has needed to "go to 11 or 12" it's this one.
DING DING DING!! VHM Yoko Flying Lizards.

Heard most of the set in the car, overall BOS ABC, but that medley of clips towards the end was freakin' IN-SPIRED.

(Monty Python- Accountancy Shanty)
3. Robert Cray- 1040 Blues
(TV: Seinfeld)
4. Barenaked Ladies- If I Had A Million Dollars
(Steve Martin: You Can Be A Millionaire)
5. ABC- How To Be A Millionaire (BOS-Tie!)
(Movie: Jerry Maguire-Show Me The Money)
6. Barrett Strong/ Flying Lizards- Money (That's What I Want)
(TV: Daily Show)
7. Randy Newman- It's Money That Matters

(Tiny Tim- Tommy Tax/Donald Duck/Disney WWII clip)
9. Gene Autry- I Paid My Income Tax Today

10. Spinal Tap- Gimme Some Money (BOS-Tie!)
Technically, we went to 11 today, since the 2 versions of "Money" were counted as one. Only trune I really coulda done without was Randy Newman; his "It's Money That I Love" is one I'd much prefer to the one we got, which I think has been in every Tax Day set I've ever heard.
-
listening to replay, hoping to turn it off before Flying Lizards. In the middle of the ABC song, there's a guitar riff just like Lukather's in Nicks' "Stand Back."
-
BOS ABC...! I remember buying this 45 at Record Factory on Polk & California. My mom probably tossed it. :'(
Aw yeah, I think I still have the 45 somewhere. Or maybe, just maybe, it's a 12" remix.

I bought the cassette on the basis of that song. Imagine my 12-year-old shock at the "A to Z" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPq5Kv3gQvE) lyrics - "I want you to kiss my snatch!"
