Dunno if AL will ask for suggestions but she hinted that she is indeed doing a Tax set. Unless she waits until Monday (deadline was extended, y'know).
ETA: when AL found out the deadline is extended, she decided to do the Tax set on Monday.
-
Well, that would make a 'standard' week (one 60's set, one 70's, one 80's, one 90's and one themed). I wouldn't expect much more than Katrinas, though.

indeed, the usual suspects will carry the day, tho' I intend to push for Sharon Jones/Dap Kings "What If We All Stopped paying Taxes" and ABC's "How to be a Millionaire".
And next week, same pattern, with Earth Day on Friday (shame it's also Good Friday; I wanted to suggest 10 "Jesus Rock" tunes).

Although the federal tax filing deadline is extended to Monday due to a local holiday in D.C. today, CA state tax still needs to be filed by tonight. 1040 Blues o' you is Busted by the Taxman!

and it's a "black" holiday, no less: Emancipation day, the day Lincoln freed slaves in DC, nine months before he freed them in the rest of the country.

I want to see the movie which comes out today, "The Conspirator", about Lincoln's assassination. Looks pretty good (plus I haven't been to the theater in some time).

Still better than Kylie's version...
yeah, I'll give ya that. It always burned my onions that the FAB "I Should Be so Lucky" was a relative stiff here but "Loco-Motion" hit #3.

Proxy of GazWOS: no no no no. But the flip, "Snookeroo" was kinda cool IMHO.

BOS, Frampton.
I see that Peter is coming to the Warfield to play Frampton Comes Alive! in it's entirety. Which is just hilarious.
I was hoping for Frampton's Camel, but I may go anyway.

But he's doing the radio edits of each song, so all the AARP members can be home by 11.

I'm craving some Meat Loaf this morning! Wonder if I'll get any.

agree on Ringo. yecch.
What would 76 be without a Little Frampton? .... seriously, he's a small guy, like 5'6" or so.
HM for this sledgehammer.

Usually I defend Clapton, but this one does nothing for me. Might as well join the Gratefull Dead if you want to play crap like this.

have you seen that footage of Frampton in the Oakland Coliseum at in 77 or so? KQED trotted it out during a pledge drive a while back.
I bet you can guess who was on keyboards...

Interesting. I only found out about Juneteeth a few years ago, which commemorates the day in 1865 -- June 19 -- when fed troops arrived in Confederate Galveston, Texas to enforce Lincoln's Emancipation order, which was signed in 1862. It's not an official holiday, but it turned into a party at my old workplace as many people brought in some tasty southern cooking. I think that was the first time I ever tried collard greens and ham hocks.

yeah, I'd never heard of Juneteenth until I moved here -- listening to the late great KDIA in the early '90s, they always made a big deal of it.
