I'm guessing a mystery year; possibly '90s. And will we get a "Fools" set on Friday? April's a great "theme" month: Fools, Tax Day, Earth Day.
-
Anyone care to wager that Thursday's set will be a Vertical Chartbuster set? Seem to recall she's done that on her first set back from vacay before, as it makes planning a whole lot easier.

Indeed, methinks you could be right.

OTOH, she just posted on FB that she's spinning "a Hunky Dory year" today -- that would appear to mean 1971. One Foghead, missing the fact that "Hunky Dory" was capitalized, said "hunky dory? that makes it sound like an older year..." No shit, Sherlock. Here's hoping she plays anything other than "Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes"

Is "Want Ads" a bustout?

Is "Want Ads" a bustout?
No, we've heard before. I saw that The Honey Cone (what's left of 'em) are in SF April 8-9 at The Rrazz Room at Hotel Nikko

AL has played it, but astoundingly Honey Cone do not appear in the Morey era -- not even once.
BOS Staples, "Sha-la-boom boom" -- YEAH!

It's not in the Dave-era database. BOS!
-

My prediction: 8 Line Poem.
But maybe she'll go really deep: The Bewlay Brothers.
-
all together now: "anybody wanna buy a Brate?"
-

My prediction: 8 Line Poem.
But maybe she'll go really deep: The Bewlay Brothers.
Bowie blew and layed a few brothers in his day, no doubt.

Rod's on the Peking ferry, feeling up Mary. Again.

Every Rod Tells A Story (right Rod?)

Speaking of the sexually adventurous, here's Rod the Mod. VHM.
-
Or maybe "Queen Bitch". BOS.
-
Is it just me, or did that Bowie tune sound like he was trying really hard to sound like the Velvets?
Still a great song & BOS worthy.
-
Ahhh, another BOS for Jonathan Edwards, which is only in the Db once from Dave's tenure.
-
Sunshine > Sweet City Woman: '71 pop for a 2011 sunny SF day ;D
-
cow orkus interruptus -- missed a few.
bon, c'est bon BOS2 the Stampeders, eh?

wow, speaking of the sexually adventurous (again), WTF was up with that sexy girl's voice talking about 'tight little spaces'? How'd that ever get by the censors?
ETA: of course this is the same year that Paul Simon had to wash his face, so maybe they were just understaffed?
-
BOS3 Alice! "Under the Wheels of My jeepster"
-
Yes, but are you driving a Jeep, Alice?
ETA: I see Mike beat me to the quip.
-
Savoy Brown make (at least) their 2nd appearance in the AL era.
-
Unsurprising WOS vote from me to "Tell Mama."

pretty sure it's more than that, and I missed a whole bunch of sets last year.
-
Since AL is such a glam fan, we must turn her on to some Be Bop Deluxe some day.
-
Unsurprising WOS vote from me to "Tell Mama."
I was thisclose to calling it "Tell Joe Mama".
I always considered Be-Bop Deluxe more prog than glam.

yes! one of my older brothers had the record w Fair Exchange on it (Sunburst Finish?) and as a youngster I thought that song was net-o.

Kind of a mix, really. Definitely had the glam look going on early, but Nelson didn't really want to be pigeonholed.

damn, I was so busy I didn't get to do my "every picture tells of storied donuts" pun!
