make yer picks and get yer kicks!
Some good suggestions on FB -- but see the comments and weep that there are still Fogheads who hate disco. Did Dave teach them nothing??
-
Good start with David panicking in Detroit.
-
Beware the Ides of Annalisa!
instant BOS Bowie -- he's a lad insane, and there's Panic in Detroit.
BOS2 Queen, "Keep Yourself Alive". one AL has played before but welcome anyway since Dave overlooked it.
-
Another BOS for David's future buddy Freddy. Or perhaps they weren't...
-
BOS Queen & their Belladonic Haze...which come to think of it would be a great band name, wouldn't it?
-
BOS3 Stevie, "Too High", speaking of drug-induced hazes.

It would indeed! I'll be in it.
-
Woo Hoo!!! Super BOS for War's "Gypsy Man".

what exactly is a "nice sharp baby"? A woman who knows how to use a knife?

F*ckin' long, ain't it?
(It's ok with me.)

I think the Gypsy Man is a protected class.. in Europe, perhaps? You cannot hate them.
Listen to that Dane blow that harp!
-
Always a BOS for Timmy Thomas and his beat-box.
-
What are the odds someone on Facebook posts: "BOS Sade", and/or "Wait, you mean Sade didn't write this?"

Yep. This is kind of a Narada to me since I never heard it before 10at10, but I wasn't really up on the radio in '73. So it doesn't quite fit the definition.
-
TANC? Keep Yourself Alive is playing on RadioParadise at this moment.
-

like.
another BOS for Joe Walsh, just because it's Joe Walsh. Although RMW isn't my fave.
-
Mr Walsh, giving Steve Miller a riff to recycle 3 years later.
-

no, but someone pointed out that "you know who else does this one good? Steve Winwood!"
BOS5 Free, with a serious rarity, "Wishing Well".
-
movie clip from The Sting? Man, shoulda requested some Scott Joplin.

I'll happily add Marvin hamlisch's "The Entertainer" to my '74 wishlist.
OMFG!! uber-BOS6 Dolly! "Jolene", a true classic -- had this on my '74 list, as it's an overlapper.
-
Mike, did you fall out of your chair when "Jolene" came on?
This is a damn fine set.
-
BOS the consecrated boy whose mama loves him.
-
having just heard the Dixie Hummingbirds version this morning on KPOO...I'd've preferred a deeper Rhymin' Simon cut than "Loves Me Like a Rock". VHM anyway.
-
I remember that "All in the Family" episode. Later Archie and Edith are in bed, but he can't make love to her 'cause his back hurts. He says, "game called on account of pain." It's stuck with me all these years. Crazy to remember that.

I requested it in '74 a while back, and a few others have made the attempt too. Glad it finally appeared.
