AL didn't technically ask for suggestions -- she said she had some "leftover requests".
-
One Foghead has already asked for "Play That Funky Music", "Love Rollercoaster" and "New Kid In Town". Another referenced The 6 Million Dollar Man and spelled his name "Leigh Majors". Who *ARE* these people??

"New York City's like a friendly ghost" -- er, wha??
I thought the same thing. But...I suppose that's how I feel about it, too. A ghost from my past, but a friendly one.

"We blew it in the right direction, young man, now go out and look for a job!"
WOS2 Gerry Ford. Uncomfortable to hear that amid the present-day situations in Wisconsin and across the nation.

Hard to believe this came out in '76. BOS2 X Offender. Best. Blondie. Song. EVER!!!
-
Pete Rose smells like a man. And Debbie Harry is very turned on. BOS5 "X-Offender". Mmmmm... rubber boots!
-
Wow -- BOS6 Boz's fab "It's Over". How this managed not to be a huge hit single is one of the great mysteries of that decade.
-
Fitting end to the week: Boz's Philly-soul-tastic "It's Over."
-
Is Boz song #10? so the set is OVER NOW?

Fate smiles: Tuned in this am in mid-Geils, so I get to hear nearly all of this set. A nifty selection of songs, and some good sound in here too. This set could almost be a Morey creation, save for the Blondie and maybe the Taj tunes.
ETA: A strong contender here for Set o' the Week, although I'm not sure I'm qualified to judge since I only heard this and 81 so far. May have to try out the streaming thing on the new phone while I'm in the car as I gotta hit the road. Until later...

I woke up to the Valentine's set, which easily gets my Set of the Week nod -- certainly the equal of any of Dave's VD creations -- with '76 a close 2nd. '81 was one of AL's rare duds, but since most of her early-'80s excursions are topheavy with New Wave, I can forgive her for being mainstream this time around.
