or so I would assume.
-
The latter is more my frame of mind these days. Besides, who wants to hear 10 schmaltzy love songs in a row??

I'm with ya -- Dave's "Valentines: a Dissenting Opinion" sets were always a highlight of the 10@10 calendar. I still have an old one on cassette. Nilsson's "You're Breaking My Heart" is genius and is actually funnier with all the f-bombs bleeped. And the movie clips -- Marcia Rodd & Elliott Gould! -- will probably never be heard on the radio again.
-
Generally the Love Stinks songs are more interesting, but that doesn't preclude there being some decent 'positive' love songs. I wouldn't mind hearing "Scratch My Back" again ;D
-
Here we go, "Annie Hall" clip > Partridge's "I Think I Love You"
Original scene from the TV show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFwZqE7AS_s

Annie Hall --> "Wah Think ah Love Yew". BOS1.
-
set opens with the "I lurve you. I luff you (with two effs)" scene from Annie Hall. Nice choice, and the movie is currently at the Red Vic, which I hear is in deep financial doo-doo. If you lurve the Red Vic, might be good time to patronize them!
-
Nice clip from Pretty In Pink. Oooh...Sam Cooke! :)
