I can hardly wait. There is no way the set can derail. I'll be happy with just about anything and everything thrown our way.

I predict we'll hear that very song early in the "katrinish" portion of the set.  ;)

But first we'll "Take The Highway". BOS MTB.  VHM Johnny Cash for Amoco ...

and heeeeeeere's SITMWY!!

This is our first '73 set since Mr Rafferty's passing -- so it was not exactly ESP on my part.

I loves me some Gladys, but "Midnight Train" is just a bit too katrinish to be in the middle of the set.

I just wikipeed the Billie Jean King/Bobby Riggs match and it said they played on a regulation singles court.  I always thought Riggs gave BJK the doubles court lines as in-bounds.

Three versions of Midnight Train for your viewing pleasure.  The original:

A more recent version with Jack Black, Ben Stiller & Robert Downey Jr.substituted for the Pips:

And a clever one with just the Pips doing their part without Gladys

Didn't Pryor host SNL & have them as his guest musicians (still sans GK) around this time?  I seem to recall a full length LOTMTTG, not the medley in this clip.
