Holy flaming mutha!  KPOO is playing a medley of "Something in the Air" and "The Revolution Will not Be Televised" by Labelle!! NTM and amazingly OMGWTF.

BTW, they were joking on KFOG this morning about what to call a James Brown Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavor. Some suggestions:

"Jump back Hershey's Kiss mahself!" and "It's a Man's Man's Man's Man's Swirl"

Without Casey, I ended up listening to a JazzFM podcast, which I really oughta do more often. A salute to Esther Phillips has included her fab cover of "Native New Yorker"  and "Disposable Society"

Holy flaming mother of gaz! In backannouncing the Esther P "Native NY'er", the deejay casually mentions it was orig recorded by ... Fankie Valli! Why did I not know that?? Here's Frankie's quite similar take:
