gotta love an '89 set that includes the Dead Milkmen's "Punk Rock Girl"
-
Tue 1/18/11: 1968
nice mix, what with Procol Harum's "Shine on Brightly", Seger ramblin' 'n' gamblin', TJ in Clover and Zep threatening to leave. Oh and Dusty's with that SOP. It's All Too Much!
ETA: holy crap! Rob ends with the Monkees, "Porpoise Song" -- this set is def worth a gander on the replay tonite.

Wow! Very impressive.
And it was the long version! (An extended instrumental outro.)

BOS JJ, watching the foolish master blaster detectives jammin' in love.
But OMFG -- bustout of the week so far: Ian Dury, "There Ain't Half Been Some Clever Bastards", which I don't think I've EVER heard on the radio. Lucky bleedahs!

damn, just missed the Korgis' "Everybody's Got To Learn", but BOS Brooooce, "Sherry Darling" -- frat-rock at its finest.
And BOS2 the Clash's uber-fab "Hitsville UK"!
also missed the B-52s "Party Out of Bounds", Jonah Lewie's "Kitchen at Parties" and Phil Seymour's wonderful "Precious to Me". Another Rob set worth catching on the PM side.
-
Damn, sorry I didn't wake up in time for that! You turned me on to the Seymour track, for which I'm grateful.

another Rob '70s special. Mr Simon eats Chinese for the 2nd time this week; Zep RnR's; BOS a Jackson Browne rarity ("Jamaica Say You Will") and BOS2 Ms King's "Sweet Seasons".
Not necessary: "Bang a Gong" and "Ch-ch-chchanges"
BOS3 and proxy of geoff: Jerry's "The Wheel".
proxy of everybody: Badfinger, tho' "Day After day" is on the cusp of my "never need to hear it again" list.
AAACK! Rob closes, everso untastefully, with GFR's "Footstompin' Mucus" WOS -- but gotta love that round album cover!
