Jim is your backdoor man, man.

Gonna BOS I Can See For Miles. Love hearing Roger sing my kid's name over and over.
-
To Love Somebody - The Bee Gees. To not love this song is a crime.

I'm trying to figure out when this originally aired. It's not one of the last two trips into '67 (August and November).
My iPOD tour took me through two versions of "I Am The Walrus" last week: Oasis and Oingo Boingo, both of which manage to improve upon the original.
The Bee Gees have had more shifts in their career than probably almost any other act.

G'morning everyone, happy last week-o-2010! BOS Bee Gees, last week I got new Bee Gees documentary DVD called In Our Own Time, narrated by them, fun to see clips of them especially in their 60s/70s pre-disco success days.

1967 came up about eight times in 2010, deservedly so. The original of this broadcast occurred on February 23.

No wonder this feels new. I wasn't part of the club then! :)

I got to meet a few of the Cowsills two yrs ago at Alameda County Fair, tragic that two of the brothers died in recent years, one in Hurricane Katrina. You'll recall in addition to this tune, "The Rain the Park and Other Things," and other hits, that they did the theme from TV's Love American Style and were the inspiration for The Partridge Family (a singing mom and her kids). Plus, BOS psychedelic Stones.
-
Dandelion! Whoa...you never hear this Stones tune on the radio. So Beatlesesque.

Wow, that long ago, eh? I recall this set, as I had recorded it then.

I wonder if there will be a Saturday replay this weekend. Of course it will be chock-full-o-repeats, and it will be New Year's Day, but I could at least tape it. Given what I've read about this set, it would be well worth it.

Love American Style.
Ha! Loved this show as a kid. The opening theme showed fireworks or something, right?

Yeah, I looked through the archives - this year actually came up twice in June.
I was thinking about good things that occurred in 2010 - certainly Annalisa going on Facebook counts amongst them, as much as we enjoy making fun of some of the Foghead selections.

I know, and agree on the Oasis version - but not aware of the Oingo Boingo. I can't even imagine it!

Was out'n'about this morning -- heard the first 10 mins or so and then had to duck into an optometrist app't. But I remember this one and it was indeed fab (what '60s set isn't?).
