Title: 16 Dec 2010: it's... 1992
Post by: RGMike on December 16, 2010, 07:38:02 AM
nothing on FB but I heard the promo this morning.  I'd've requested Prince, Charles & Eddie, and CeCe Peniston, probably to no avail.

If I had had a chance, I'd have requested

"Stay", Shakespeare's Sister
"Sheela Na Gig", PJ Harvey
with no WTF selection (most that I'm not familiar don't sound like I'd enjoy).

I have a bunch of '92 requests that I can't remember at the moment.  Won't be listening this morning anyway.  I'll be at work having my 19th nervous breakdown.

"Dizz Knee Land" to start. AL just flipped off President George.

All I want is a "Remedy" for southern-fried crap. WOS Black Crowes.

VHM T-Heads, but I really need something earth-shattering for a '92 BOS.

Instant BOS (for "Dizz Knee Land", although I don't share your Black Crowes hate). Although, I'll have to request Dada's "Here Today Gone Tomorrow" for either 1992 or 1993 - it did a good job of marking when I graduated from college.

Just realized that Shakespeare's Sister and PJ Harvey (the CD with "Sheela Na Gig") are two prime candidates for the next entries into my CD catalog-backfilling timeline, if that makes any sense at all. The only copies I have of those two songs were pirated from the radio. And no, I won't download these from iTunes. I want the entire GD-albums.

VHM Lou Reed, tho' I don't remember hearing this much in '92.

It's such a shame how boring this format was in 1992. But HM LL.

I'm not into the Black Crowes that much, but I like that song.  BOSFRA Lou Reed.

Annie Lenox and Lyle Lovett .. meh.

in fact, Lyle chased me to The Sound where Billy Joel is singing about Brenda and Eddie.

ETA: The Sound is doing some alphabet soup thing, not a straight 10at10

I own this CD and I barely remember the tune.

VHM Tom Hanks telling Rosie O'Donnell to "zip it".

I found the SS album, Hormonally Yours, for a buck in Amoeba's cutouts last time I was in SF.  I didn't enjoy the rest of it.  You want my copy?
