not the greatest way to start a week. But Bob'll do '87 with or without you.

WOS "Touch of Gray"; VHM Steve Miller's "I Want To Make the World Turn Around"

ooo! Bob begins his tradition of sprinkling year-appropriate Xmas tunes into his sets -- uber-BOS JCM "I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus".

Hey Tom Petty -- take back yo' WOS2.  I'll take Vanessa Redgrave off yer hands. But you can keep Joe Piscopo.

Cheeze for breakfast: VHM Def Leppard, "Love Bites"

Grateful Dead - Touch of Grey
Steve Miller - I Want To Make The World Turn Around

Wed 12/1/10: 1971

any '71 set that starts with as overplayed a track as there is ("Bobby McGee") has nowhere to go but up.

ah, that's better: Cornelius Bros treatin' Sistah Rose like a lady and OMFG -- Yes, "Starship Trooper"! proxy of all our prog contingent.

Proxy of Gaz, TJ sans Shondells. Mmmmm... purple flowers...

BOS mahvelous Mahvin, "Mercy Mercy Me," mah man.

BOS2 3DN with one of Paul Williams' loveliest. Having seen Phantom of the Paradise the other nite, I say again: underappreciated genius.

BOS3 Alice at 18.

Lawd! BOS4 EJ's "Country Comfort".  This set got real good real fast. One of Bob's better recent efforts.

VHM Still Bill.

Janis Joplin - Me and Bobby McGee
Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose - Treat Her Like a Lady
Yes - Starship Trooper
Tommy James - Draggin' the Line
Marvin Gaye - Mercy Mercy Me
David Bowie - Changes
Three Dog Night - An Old Fashioned Love Song
Alice Cooper - I'm 18
Elton John - Country Comfort
Bill Withers - Ain't No Sunshine

no expectations. And with MAW leading off, you can see why.

the disco hot-spots hold no charm for Asia in their WOS1.

*sigh* -- another meatheaded '80s AOR crapfest. The 'oo at their lamest and now Scorpions.

"all I wanna do when I wake up in the morining is..." not hear Toto.

VHM PG & his monkey, best of a bad lot so far.  Even a New Wave warhorse like "Hungry/Wolf" sounds good amidst all this dreck.

making its 2nd appearance in an '82 set this week (and getting its 2nd BOS): "Somebody's Baby". proxy of shray. And there's just no comparison between AL's fine assemblage on Monday and Bob's by-the-AOR-numbers set. OTOH, he's playing Haircut 100, much to my surprise. ah-ya-ya-ya-ya-ya BOS2. And he closes with Lady Antebellum Alan Parsons.
