or the follow-up, "Gravy (on my mashed Potatoes)".

aaaack! WOS "Rubber Biscuit", a dreadful cover of a song that was pretty stupid to begin with.

I was ready to WOS this JT song just on principle, but then Ray Charles saved the day.  This isn't so bad, actually.

Sweet Potato Pie.

Me niether, and I had to hear that damned Bird is the word thing again.  I know it's traditional and much beloved, but I *dislike*.

And I would prefer some "Custard Pie" over "Cherry Pie" if we ever do start rockin' out.

Yes, I do believe that was James Brown.  Now 'Sweet Potato Pie' with James Taylor and Ray Charles.

BOS4 the Isleys, "Harvest for the World", a superb set-closer.

This was the kinda "theme set" the suits probably don't want AL to do, but screw 'em.

OTOH, where does AL keep finding these "off" Blues Brothers versions that are even worse than the originals?

Good set, different.  There's so many songs about food, this could go on all day (what a good idea)!

Best FB Foghead comment: "Was their no food songs written after 1920? Just wonderin' "

And given that she limited herself to Thanksgiving food, she really managed a classic IMHO.  And we didn't have to hear the Cranberries!

it's either a "classic" or else she's recording something special (tho' I guess "turkeys" are a thing of the Morey past).

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving all! Be sure to wow your friends and relatives with 10@10 trivia, although I do not take responsibility if this causes you to be sent outside.
