Spring ahead, Fall on your face!
-
I should request Bloodhound Gang's "The Bad Touch", as it does mention Daylight Savings Time.
-
Tyrone Davis, "If I Could Turn Back the Hands of Time"!
-
Back in 99 I went to a Giants game where the promotion was 'Turn Ahead The Clock' --- the teams wore "FUTURISTIC" unis, they gave out shiny silver Giants hats to the first 15k fans, etc. They probably played futuristic music b/w innings (Popcorn by Hot Butter? maybe?) here's the game story from that night:

Ellis Burks hit a grad slam that night.
this is more Giants related, but sort of TANC b/c I was just telling the gf about this game this very week.

Those unis woulda been awesome -- in the remake of Rollerball.

one confused Foghead on FB requested
"People Gotta Be Free"
"Midnight Confessions"
"Sealed With a Kiss"
WTFF??
(and yes, I know "Midnight Confessions" mentions a time-of-day, but the other 2? At first I figured she thought it was a '68 set, but then she added "SWAK" which is not from that year and maybe works in a first-day-of-Summer set, but...)

Tyrone
Shoelaces Davis to start, with Gaz's (and others') suggestion.
-
And we have Tyrone turning back tha hands of time for the TOTHC.
Sounds good.
-
BOS to a Python clip we haven't heard here before.
"feh" to the Doobs.
-
Just out of curiosity, does anyone TiVo 10@10? I'm considering doing that for the Saturday rerun.
-
Yammo BOS Al Stewart.
-
BOS2 Al Stewart -- just lovely.
-
BOS2 Al Stewart -- just lovely.
Seeing Al S in concert is like attending a lecture on obscure literary and historical figures accompanied by guitar. He's great. Big fan.
-
BOS Time Passages. Lovely. Saxy.

oh my yes -- the early stuff ("Nostradamus", "Roads to Moscow") was VERY popular on NYC prog-FM. When "Year of the cat" became a left-field hit I was thrilled for him. So of course Clive davis napped him up and things went downhill after this LP,,,
-
tick-tock, people! another "feh" from me -- we've gotten this from AL in a year set before. The opening sounds like Grayson Hugh's "Talk it Over"
-
uber-BOS3 Irma Thomas' orig "Time Is On My Side" -- nicest surprise so far.

me, too. That was great.
-
BOS4 Stones -- "Out of Time" is one of my very favorite songs of theirs (and used to great effect in Coming Home).
-
BOS5 Avenging Chrissie. Aftershave and underwear optional.

Time Waits for No One is nice too.
I'll give a BOS for "Time the Avenger". I like the "another vodka and lime" line in there. A nice nod to "Hazy Shade of Winter", another Time-y song.
-
I'll give a BOS for "Time the Avenger".
it's a Mondegreen for me: "Tiny Avenger"

OMFG!! BOS6 JJ -- Proxy of Rod. "one, two, three, GO!"
-
I still like to hear the Morey favorite: Time Has Come Today.
-
BOS7 (!) and proxy of geoff, the fabulous Chambers boys. I'm guessing this won't be the loooong version. ;)
Well, this turned out to be the best set of the week, IMHO. AL can really short-circuit the obviousness of Fogheads when she's a mind to.
-
BOS 3 Chambers with tiiiiiimmmmeeeeeeee, tiiiiiimmmmeeeeeeee, tiiiiiimmmmeeeeeeee, tiiiiiimmmmeeeeeeee
-
BOS7 (!) and proxy of geoff, the fabulous Chambers boys. I'm guessing this won't be the loooong version. ;)
holy flaming mother of time! I was wrong!
and I never noticed that lift from "Little Drummer Boy" in there before. Is it the hash?

Worst 10 @ 10 week ever. 3 70s and 2 themes. ::) Although, 1979 was admittedly very good. Next week better be 3 80s and 2 90s. ;) (Not that it's going to happen, but...)

I suppose the Chartbusters could count as both 70's and a theme. Also, a generic week would consist of the following:
1 1960's
1 1970's
1 1980's
1 1990's
1 theme
I don't mind the themed ones so much as long as they don't occur too often. Part of Annalisa's strength is her occasional mixing of a theme and a year (see 1981/Giants, 1970/Midterm Elections).
