"Pretzel Logic" sounds perfect for my mood this a.m.  One BOS for me, and I'll order one for the Princess to go.  Dare I bet on a clean sweep among the Clubbers for this one?

Hope you all had a lovely Pride, btw.  I missed NYC's celebrations due to multiple traffic snarls (mostly begat by accidents, I'm afraid) between Presque Isle, Maine and here.

Indeed BOS1 for me -- 1974 always means multiple BOSes.

On the other hand, I could do without Golden Earring today...

What were you doing in Presque Isle?  I've got a cousin who lives in or near there.

I still like it.  One of these days on the Max maybe they'll play this followed by Brenda Lee's "Coming On Strong".

HaHaHa! Keep dreamin, bub. "Whatever We Feel Like" doesn't include obscure Brenda Lee records.

I give a solid VHM to "School", I like the keyboard work immensely, and any song that uses the word 'shirk' correctly can't be all bad.

I don't think I've ever heard that on the radio before.

My friends Josh and Alli (Josh, a fellow Allegheny alumni; Alli, a former roommate) got hitched, and Alli's family lives up there.  We stayed at the Northeastland Hotel, where the wedding was held.  Had an amazing lobster bisque at a microbrewery called Slopes that I'm still salivating over.

Probably true - but COS did make #11, so it's not *that* obscure ...

To MAX's target demo, it might as well be from 1928.

HM to "The Show Must Go On," which amounted to 3DN's dead-cat-bounce.

Note that the title never actually appears in the song.

BOS2 3DN, one of their lesser-played hits and most welcome. Now if we can get Leo Sayer himself doing "Long tall Glasses" I'll be most pleased.

Was Supertramp that much more popular in the Midwest than elsewhere?  This & about 3 other songs from Crime of the Century were AOR staples as far as I knew.

"Dreamer" and "Bloody Well Right" got NYC AOR play, but that was it.

I have to give 3DN another BOS, haven't heard this since I used to have the vinyl greatest hits record.

BOS2 to the Eagles' "Old 55," one of very few songs of theirs I really dig.

BOS3 Eagles, a truly lovely cover of "Ol' '55" and the first exposure many of us had to Tom Waits.

see, we also heard "School" & "Rudy" where I lived.  Both of which show up on DDT often enough.

see above. It must be a Tom Waits thang.  (I'm sure there are Springsteen haters who love "Jersey Girl" too.)

Another BOS to Aerosmith (&  a proxy for Alicat).

"Same Old Song & Dance" should be another song on George's iPod.

It would sure do me good...to never hear this song again.

BOS5 (Am I feeling generous today or what?) Billy Swan. This sounded so wonderful on Top 40 radio at the time. Written, as previously noted, for Elvis, who turned it down but began doing in his live shows after it became a hit for Mr Swan.

I'll give my last BOS to Clapton, "Let It Grow", one of his first successful self-written songs.
